No didn't have a clue at the time, it looked like McClellan sort of quit at time, he took a knee twice, he wasn't brutally knocked out, the place was going insane, it was mayhem. when McClellan was being taken from the ring I believe he was conscious, I don't think anybody thought it was as serious as it was. I remember getting home and seeing something on the news, no social media back then, I had video taped (that's how long ago it was LOL) the fight on ITV and watched it back before I went to bed and only then did I see what really went on. As you know, when you are at an event it looks totally different from how it looks on TV.
I was in New York during the first Golota/Bowe fight. If Tony Weeks had been the referee, Golota would have won by knockout! Even if Golota had not thrown low blows, he would have knocked Bowe out! Lou Duva had to be carried out, the crowd rioted, three things, it was a mess...............
