Have you ever lost money on a controversial fight?

De La Hoya - Trinidad - Picked DLH for 50, utterly ripped off.

Tszyu Vs Leonardo Mas - Had 40 bucks on Tyszu to stop him in the 4th round - Cortez owes me 40 bucks for that one.

Mosley Cotto - Picked Mosely, Zag V Kessler, picked Kessler - I'm crap at betting and should just stop...

I lost money on Hopkins vs Taylor I, Morales vs David Diaz, and Ngoudjo vs Malignaggi.

But honestly I had the decision for Taylor and Diaz, and a draw for Ngoudjo vs Malignaggi

still they are controversial

 

Lost on Hopkins - Taylor, still do not see how they gave it to Taylor... In Vegas for it at the time, hammered and mad for about ten minutes until we made it to the Spearmint Rhino..

 

Never had a situation described by the original poster.

But on a side note, i did bet $100 for the Pavlik/Taylor fight to go less than 10.5 rounds and boy was i pissed it didn't. I thought that was money in the bank.

Also, i rewatched the Hopkins/Taylor 1 fight and tried my hardest to give the fight to Hopkins but had it 6-5-1 for JT. Hopkins outboxed JT but simply was not active enough.

 

Hindsight is 20/20

 

i backed taylor over pavlik in their second fight ,i thought that pavlik won but alot of people on here said taylor did

 

i had some 60$ on Taylor by UD (4/1 odds) but imo the outcome wasn't very controversial

i knew Taylor would gas out and expected him to lose but liked the odds.

 

I had $100 on Holt to beat Ricardo Torres.
But i won big with Paulie malignaggi beating Ndou on points

 

Most recently, Ding vs Flores and the worst loss I can remember is Toney vs Peter I.

 

i had that one 9 rounds to 3 for Peter

 

I also had a 20 on Smichet to upset Duddy.

when i think of it all of my losses were close or controversial and i can't really regret any of those bets other than Morales vs Diaz considering i got like 5/7 odds it really wasn't a smart one.

 

You also think Guzman would lose to Chris John and Linares. I'm sure you didn't even score the fight or you're confusing it with the rematch.

as for your 2nd comment i am in fact talking about Peter vs Toney I and had done a round by round which is no longer on ESB. I'd also like to mention that 2 of the judges also saw the bout 9 rounds to 3, something i didn't know before i scored the bout. Maybe they got confused with the 2nd fight too?

 

alright i remember 2:

and I had Urkal to last 12 with Cotto on 10-1 odds and the mother****ers threw the damn towel when he was fine!!! :fire
