Have to diasgree on the body shot that Hopkins nailed him with, granted it looked more like a flash knockdown- but in slow motion it's pretty evident he nailed oscar with a beautiful liver shot- probably one of the single hardest punches to come back from when it's tagged cleanly...
Especially when you hit the guy AT WILL with your signature punches! Then after the fight you get a purse doubling performance for throwing 33 punches per round. :huh
he got hit with a bomb before the first fall and i think he was just scared of rahman. not a dive more of an act of cowardness:yep
They should have taken his license away. The first time I saw that I wondered how it was not stopped for diving on the floor in the 1st. Makes me feel sick.
Are u dumb. he got ****ing Koed if anyting i would say Mcneelys was a throw. Alot bets saying he would make it out of the first round????? His corner was in on it :rasta
No, sorry. I have always felt that many fans have been unfair to Oscar... He is subject to many controversial fights, but that is only because he has always fought the best fighters out there. As a matter of fact, I rate Oscar's strength of opponents #1 of all time. If he would have won every fight, I would rate him as the greatest ever. I honestly don't believe Oscar ever took a fall, some punches might not look that hard, but being hit by a ATG middleweight in the right spot of the body, a ATG middleweight that went up to LHW and was successful and was fighting a much smaller fighter...., Who are we to judge Oscar for falling from that shot? My point being, Oscar has fought pretty much everyone, never backed down, he should get some kind of appreciation for that anyway.
Mosley in his fight with cotto. I thought the fight was close after the 11th round. I really felt mosley needed to win the 12th round to get at least a draw but i was surprise on how he performed in the 12th round. He gave the fight away.
Last time i saw someone koed they wasnt able to reach up, pull their mouth piece out of their mouth, then lay there like they were lifeless, then as soon as the bell rings, come to like nothing happened. Save the lame attempts at insults for a kid too...
What was happening whenever Clottey moved his hands. Pac eats shots straight down the middle, gets aggressive and comes forward, he is upper cutted and the momentum is stopped or he is waited out to finish the flurry, Clottey shuffles right back in front of him in his turtle shell. Rinse. Repeat. He did it to Baldomir. He did it to Margo. He did it to Judah. He did it to Cotto. Look at his face in victory?!? Now we do have another issue in that Pac seems to have an inexhaustable resevoir of energy, but we can save that for another discussion. Dude we all know that Clottey is the Top Rank fall guy. We saw that in the Cotto fight when Clottey was robbed there. And yes when a judge scores that fight 116-112 you KNOW it was already ordained for him to lose.
This is kinda a dumb thread. i dont see many boxers throwing fights now days. in the past there was with the mob. but not now. all these fights everyone is mentioning are about being scared or giving up. not taking a dive.
