Or maybe he was just training for a fight agianst a solid kick-boxer style fighter. Ever think of that ? Usually before a fight you train and you spar agianst guys that can mimick your opponets style.

    4 times...in what ? 2001? 2002 ?....Compare that to his rematch...What's your point ? Sakuraba...a fight which happened in ?....2002....btw , sakuraba subbed today's LHW champion....Jackson...that was in 2001...

by your logic , would saku do the same today ?...Of course he wouldn't.
So why are you bringing crocop's 2002 fights are examples ?... He started mma in 2001. Do you think he was at the top of his game back then ? No he wasn't. He still was just a mere kickboxer.

I knew you'd say that.... The thing is that didn't use the same modus operandi when he had to fight Mark Hunt...(because he was so sure of himself..)...

Exactly... Cro-Cop was at his best when he entered into the UFC.

Exactly he had just finished Sanchez in Feb 07 from the mount yet in April he was shot :huh If hes shot its because Gonzaga shot him with the brutal KO in MMA history.

Jackson wasnt exactly tops of him game in 2001 either a pretty stupid fighter that night actually. Of course Sakuraba wouldnt do much vs Cro Cop now cause Sakuraba is a true example of a shot fighter and hes showed that for about 3-4 years now if not more hes not a guy who was the top 5 in the world then his next fight hes automatically shot. Kongo outgrappled him in 2007 whats up with that ?

One more thing...again , i totally disagree. By your logic , then nobody is ever shot. I guess we should then give McBride and Williams all the credit in the world for beating Tyson right ?

Another thing...This argument about the "if the fight wins it's OK but if he loses he's past his prime".. is also bull****.

Because i'm the first to admit that nogueira is PAST HIS PRIME too...and guess what ? He's the ****ing HW champion. But it doesn't change ****. You can't possibly compare today's version of Nogueira to a prime nog.

I don't know...you tell me....Herring defeated him. Yvel defeated him. Crocop dominated Barnett on the ground.... What's up with that ?...

    Your conclusion ?

Ok lets both agree Cro Cop is alike lot Zab Judah,Kevin Randleman,Nate Campbell on there best nights they could beat the very best guys in the world its been proven and the next fight they could lose to a journeymen or a guy who has no buisness being able to beat them.

Comparing being shot to Tyson is a different animal, But sure guys obviously go downhill eventually, But it takes more then a bad night or 2, you even say Herring is "past his prime" he just had an impressive fight against Kongo , should have finished Nog and he is still in his 20's.He stated that for the first time he stayed on a strict training program and will stay on it from now on. I don't think we've a "prime" Herring yet, not that a prime Herring will be that great anyhow.

Is Shogun also past his prime...he's about 26 so he must be almost done as well.

I also honestly believe that Herring is past his prime (even though he recently defeated Kongo). But Herring was more of a gatekeeper in his prime anyway... Shogun isn't though...Shogun is still in his prime.

I believe that Herring , especially Nogueira and crocop are all past their prime.
