We still don't know if Wilder is any good, Wilder built a 40-0 resume fighting bums so who knows if Fury is all that good after all.
We're 2 weeks away from the fight and yet it really doesn't feel like there's been a lot of attention surrounding it. It's as if the hype and anticipation has worn off even as we get closer to the fight.
Initially yes as I felt Fury owed Ngannou a rematch after he got extremely lucky to win the fight. Now however I’m very much excited as I think Fury will be able to get back to his best and defeat Usyk in another shock.
I know I've lost interest in it and its not just this one, but Canelo vs Benavidez too mostly due to the fan boys hollering and screaming about it.
I'm still interested, mainly because of the historical aspect of the undisputed fight. Though I'd still have liked to see it happen two or three years ago when both were probably closer to their best. I do wonder why it's been a bit low key so far (though I do suspect the build up will ramp up now it's getting close). Perhaps because some - including myself - thought it might not actually happen? Maybe also because heavyweight boxing took a bit of a battering, in the eyes of the public, after Fury - Ngannou, and it's all been kept a bit low key since?
If Usyk wins it will be a boring big guy chasing the little guy around the ring fiasco. And there will be a million posts about how Fury was "exposed". If Fury wins a lot of little fanboy hearts will be broken. And there will be excuses no matter how decisive the victory. Like when Lennox beat Vitali. SMH
Regardless of opinions of the fighters themselves, how could anyone not look forward to the first heavyweight total-belt unification in decades...?
