Yeah, if he fights Cotto after De La Hoya, I wouldn't have any problem.

Hatton-Mayweather II simply isn't happening. I think EVERYBODY knows what the result would be.

Side note: I think it's fantastic that Mayweather will be featured in that Wrestlemania "contest". It gives him a broader fan-base, and although it's just entertainment, it kind of reminds me of Ali-Antonio Inoki in '77. Good for Mayweather.

Naw man he has to fight Cotto who is the best available opponent and out of 39 fighters who have tried he's the one to do it.

I want to see this fight but not because I believe that Cotto is going to win, but simply because its two undefeated champions fighting for the universally recognized championship.

But winning 6 straight titles and reigning as a champion for over 10yrs isn't enough. Accomplishing what he has isn't enough ... he has to die in the ring against Cotto to get my respect.

boxers are getting pucnhed in the face for a living. this is their ****ing job, this pays the bills. **** you people who think he is fighting for you or your obsession with his profession. Floyd, at the end of the day is just trying to earn as much money as he can. Boxing is a lucrative business and he realizes that.

What's wrong with Mayweather making some money on the side?

Then again, a rematch with De La Hoya could break records financially, if played properly.

he wouldn't die in the ring against cotto, so, according to your logic you can never give him respect. You are a stupid person.

PBF doesn't need any respect from anyone here and I'm sure he doesn't give a ****. At the end of the day he'll be one of the richest athletes in the world and a top 25 to 30 ATG.:hi: A life that anyone here would dream of having.:deal

But as a fan, would you be upset if he fought Hatton again, right after he fights De La Hoya?

Pretty boy floyd is my favorite active fighter.....I don't give a damn about whatever the hell he does as long as he fights cotto.

If he never fights cotto then i will lose respect for him.....but i'm pretty sure he will fight him....just gotta be patient people.

Thinking about it, I think the fight Mayweather must take before he retires is Miguel Cotto. Like Cotto or not, the guy has become a real monster at Welterweight, beating Quintana and Shane Mosley.
