I was talking to Duran once and I thought, man, can't believe how little of an accent of any kind he has. But, as fluent as he is, what he's saying is just gibberish. Like, it's well-enunciated but still senseless. Anyway, for the purposes of concision, I wound up realizing it was Charles Manson.
a good few, both in chance and at the WBHofF 2006... Wilf Greaves, the Canadian Middleweight used to work at a Landfill Recycling Station I used a lot when I was in Waste Disposal during the late 80s and 90s. But a good few, Ex-Boxers events in the UK while researching. Had a good chat with Reg Gutteridge too.
I got overtaken by Tommy Oosthuizen on the highway. Also I met a guy that looked like Johnny Du Plooy's twin brother at a brickworks. I mean, he wasn't, but he could have been.
B-Hop. South Street in Philly. He was going to fight Adamek. I almost got hit by a car crossing the street to go say hi to him lol. He was talking to some cops.
Joe Bugner RIP here in australia, absolute gentlemen Antonio Tarver after his fight with danny green, pretty nice guy was happy to chat with us still in his ring gear lol
He seemed to be a very kind and personable man even if we only met him briefly before an auction. My dad and I had our picture taken with both Benn and Eubank during the peak months of COVID; Benn was very amicable and shook everybody's hand, listened to their stories and was just overall great. Eubank on the other hand was a bit of a wanker and threatened to go home if anybody touched him. During their talk on stage, Eubank also kept interrupting Benn, going on about how his older brothers beat him up and calling Benn a mug for continuing to fight after 'they' robbed him in their rematch
Your description of Eubank reaffirmed my opinion of him. Benn on the other hand sounds exactly like I thought. A people person. Also a s born again Christian which i can absolutely relate too as im one myself. Thanku for the description of your interactions. Much appreciated!
