I've watched some for free and I'm glad I didn't pay for them. We usually have a lock in at the local pub and give old boy £2 a piece. It pays for the event and he makes a bit of money off of it for been a good sport. The loss of Setanta is starting to sink in.
I gotta be honest man with streams sat dish and dodgy cable boxes I pay for nothing. THe UK service is so bad and I been ripped by them for so long I said fuk this. Half the fights arent shown so I need dish and streams and the ones that are shown are PPV at 4 ****ing AM with ads between rounds what a disgrace if I received the full US service it would not be so bad though its their won fault. If HBO have a big fight they broadcast earlier fights of the guys have indepth interviews , follow them thorugh the arenas etc etc Sky for example just buys the HBO rights and does nothign ands cannto show a lot of the stuff, its not a PPV package and sky are not putting in any effort, no probs if its free but when u habve to pay come on now at 5am?? Adverts on a channel you paid 16 pounds for ??
Sometimes I'll stream the ones that have no business being sold as PPVs to begin with, like March Badness.
Thanks for that, really, cos I'd like to have a sensible discussion about this without geting the thread removed. I'm sure you'll agree that it's not unimportant to get a rough picture of how many people watch events free online and the reasons why they do. There would be nothing gained by ignoring the matter.
I have watched some fights using dodgy cable boxes alright. I'd watch some fights online alright, but mainly cause its so hard, impossible, to follow fights over this side of the world. If I could pay to watch the fights i want to see i would.
