It has got to hurt Mayweather's legacy that he has, for whatever reason, missed out on fighting so many other top fighters.
Early retirement, losing the urge, whatever else. "Would have won" means diddly squat against a real victory.

His recent years have been littered with this sort of thing. And it is this period that is most relevant to his P4P ranking.

Floyd is a P4P #1 on the "would have won" circuit. In the real world? You have to rank real fighters - who have real fights - above him. That's why people now have Martinez #2.

:patschAll this talk about losses lol. If losses means a fighter is shot, does having a 0 on you losses mean your the greatest? I didn't think so.

i guess your argument trumps all...and we will never know when in time or if any of those 9 guys listed would or could have beaten floyd....but when floyd fights guys like
sharmba mitchell, vicoriano sosa, henry brussels, and guys on their 15 year of a 15 1/2 year career...whats the point in trying to find out....

and what strak was baldomir on that made him a better choice than cotto, williams, margarito, ect? the streak of beating judah? ok...welll maybe we could swallow that if he wouldnt have fought the loser of Baldomir vs Judah first.....
    :rofl:rofl

yup, 3 times a year is expectable from a great boxer. even 2 times a year I dont have a problem with. but as far as floyd he better step up as quick as possible. if its not pacman, than fight canelo or cotto at 154.

    :good:good

He hasn't had a "big" win since '07 when he moved up to fight DLH. Hatton, Judah, and Mosley(Mosley being the clear best out of the three) were good wins but Floyd shouldn't be so high especially when other guys are facing tougher compo. I am a Floyd fan but I think guys like Bradley, Martinez, and Froch should get more credit as athletes as they're more active & willing to face anyone. Rankings are **** and Floyd hasn't done enough to keep his place.

LOL the Judah fight was already signed prior. And even during that time people insisted he was ducking Baldomir lol.

If you think any of those guys at any stage of their careers could beat Floyd (with the possible exception.... Just to humor this, Prime Mosley and Pacquiao...) you're crazy.

    Thread translation

We can't get anybody to beat him. We "love" black people (lol), But we don't like him, his family, or his attitude. Not to mention he won't fight who, how, and when we want...... Hmmmm.... Lets scratch his name off the list. That'll show him!
