If you are a starting pro boxer and already aware you have weak chin, what would you improve most, your defense or offense?

Would have to be defense for me , I'd rather be a defensive master with a glass chin than a Herbie Hide .

If at all possible I'd try to imitate Winky's style. A good strong jab and high guard to protect me. I still love watching Winkys fight with Tito. Every time Tito set his feet to throw some leather with any pop, there was a jab in his face offsetting him. Rinse repeat. I like to imagine Winky with a bit of power to go with that 1-2. Since a jab is a offensive and defensive weapon I guess both apply.

    Defense.

Or better yet, take the Taylor Way: fight boxers with no KO power to build up a good resume.

He was forced to adapt that style since he didn't want to repeat his nightmare experience of being knocked down all over again and again and again and again in one round like he was a kid being bullied.:yep

If its that evident this early, you might want to consider not fighting at all.
There is nothing to be ashamed of when your brain simply can't take the shock of a punch and reacts the way it does, its just body physiology......the card you got dealt.

do what Lennox Lewis did and learn to defend well and tie opponents up. Wlad is doing the same.

I'd become a defensive master ANYWAY, I wouldn't like getting punched in the face to land one of my own.
