All the top fighgers fight in America outside of a few divisions. Stop whining.

Its not about attendance its about what networks are willin to pay. Berto made 6 million for a fight where he couldnt draw anyone at thr gate. Attendance =/= purse.

If the fight can headline the MGM or MSG etc then America it is.

If not then elsewhere should be considered IMO.

It's really about the TV money. And the purses that come with getting backing from hbo and showtime and such. I think the ticket sales are a remote 2nd.

well you can be star in europe aswell but how i see it if you want to become raly big like ali leonard tyson holyfield lewis mayweather pac you need to be big in usa aswell! Simply if you want to be megastar you need to fight in america aswell and you must be entertaining if you are not american or canadian, train there!

World title fight (or nearly... ;)), decent undercard etc etc. Would easily sell out the MEN Arena or the Echo Arena with no trouble at all.

GGG trains in Big bear with Abel Sanchez and is now fighting mostly in the States too. I dont reallyu care where he lives. His professional life is in America.

Arena are not where the money is.

If size of crowds is where the money was. Canelo would happily fight in Mexico and fight in frony of 60k people in each of his fights.

Julio Cesar Chavez SNR was able to get 100k at his fights in Mexico, he still fought most of his big fights in America, in front of 10-15k.

Pacquiao could pack out stadiums in the Phillipines yet fights in small arenas in Vegas.
    TV is the real money.

If no top European needs to make it in the states, then why is Khan basing himself there?

Why is GGG basing himself there?
    Adamek?
    Mago?
    Szpilka?
    Kovalev?
    Provodnikov?
    Fonfara?

Surely they could base themselves much easier in Germany?

Even the Klits spent the middle of their careers there when they were trying to build their name.

Why does Macklin fight there so often now?

Why does Andy Lee almost exclusively fight there?

Why are Geale(An Australian) and Barker(A Brit) fighting in NY in August?

The big fights are still in America.

Outside of the Klits, and maybe Huck, who is bringing in big money fighting in Germany?

Nathan Cleverly even said it himself. If you want to be taken seriously, you have to go to America.

Why do top African fighters tend to go fight in America and not in Europe?

    What about Atlantic City?

    Or Cowboys Stadium in Texas?

    Staples Centre in California?

Its not just Vegas where big fights take place.

Uk fans are a lot more influenced by nationalism and hype than US fans. Also they have less fighters to root for so they are way more likely to latch onto the ones they have and support them to the hilt, a lot of times disregarding actual talent or ability.

The US is also way more diverse so it's hard for one fighter to gain immense popularity unless they are outstanding like Mayweather.
