Hey Pete, how's about coming up with your own list using the same method I did, and displaying your results. It's not that hard. And you can use any guy you want. You don't have to leave out the same guys I did. As you see, no one even attempted to come up with a list so I gave up on it. But if you don't think it's an accurate way to determine H2H best don't worry about it. Also, I know you probably feel I totally owned your man Marciano, so think of it as an opportunity of showing me what place he rightfully belongs H2H.

Well, choosing the same fighters and grading system you used:

Holmes vs Ali -Slight lean Ali (previously slight lean Holmes)
Holmes vs Frazier -Slight lean Frazier (previously slight lean Holmes)
    Holmes vs Marciano -Holmes
Holmes vs Liston -Slight lean Holmes
Holmes vs Tyson -Slight lean Holmes
    Holmes vs Dempsey -Holmes
    Holmes vs Foreman -Holmes
    Holmes vs Vitali -Lean Holmes
    Holmes vs Wlad -Holmes
    Holmes vs Holy -Holmes
Holmes vs Louis -Slight lean Holmes

    Lewis against HW ATG opposition

Lewis vs Ali -Slight lean Ali
    Lewis vs Frazier -Lewis
    Lewis vs Marciano -Lewis
    Lewis vs Dempsey -Lewis
    Lewis vs Foreman -Lewis
    Lewis vs Vitali -Lewis
    Lewis vs Wlad -Lewis
    Lewis vs Holy -Lean Lewis
Lewis vs Liston -Slight lean Lewis (previously slight lean Liston)
Lewis vs Tyson -Slight lean Lewis
Lewis vs Louis -Slight lean Louis

Lewis vs Holmes -Slight lean Lewis over 12

I've always pulled for Lewis here but for some reason my notes have the opposite result. This is not surprising since I change my opinion from time to time especially after watching footage of the fighters in question, but the only fights I recall watching recently involving either Holmes or Lewis are Holyfield-Lewis and Holmes-Mercer. I don't think those two fights would sway my judgment on Lewis-Holmes so this is quite strange for me. Anyway, I'll just re-post what I've said in the past concerning this fantasy match.

    Ali
    Louis
    Holmes
    Lewis
    Tyson
    Liston
    Foreman
    Marciano
    Frazier
    Johnson

I have Holmes ahead of Lewis because he is a harder man to knockout. Having the recuperative power of a Larry Holmes effectively eliminates the possibility of losing to one-dimensional bangers. I know some might consider losses to McCall and Rahman a reach, but they did happen and against opponents decidedly lesser than Lewis in class.

In my opinion, Holmes fares better across the field even though he fought down to his competition like Lennox.

Alright I will. Give me a little bit of time. I think it's the only way to determine H2H. Although arguing over whether H2H is fair is fair.

That's a ranking but not one purely based on H2H. I see your work and it seems you give Lewis a slight edge in H2H. It seems it came down right to the Lewis vs Holmes match. It's that close :think

    Doesn't it look like a H2H list?

It is. I have Holmes ahead of Lewis by a hair.
