I'm not so sure I agree with you...Hawkins may or may not be shot. Hawkins beat Domminik Guinn in his last fight, which is his biggest career victory. Also, not too long ago Hawkins went the full ten rounds with David Tua and Sam Peter. Remember, Hawkins was never supposed to be a world beater in the first place. He is more of a "B" level heavyweight: a guy who lasts the distance against world level opponents and who sometimes upsets other "B" level fighters. Hawkin's real value is as a measuring stick. Right now Virichis looks hot because he is the only heavyweight in recent years to stop Hawkins. Can Boytsov do the same...or will Boytsov be exposed by the clever veteran? It will be an intriguing fight for fans if Hawkins still has his heart in the game.
Well, a bit unfair to compare Boytsov with Virchis, isnt it? Virchis is a an extremely limited boxer with murderous firepower. As long as he has an inmobile opponent in front of him you can bet all your money on Virchis to win that fight. But................Virchis can be easily outboxed as could be seen against Bidenko and Sprott, and an outstanding top gun like Wlad will murder him. By the way Wlad's brother Vitaly knocked the huge Ukanian farmer out at the amateurs. As for Boytsov not only has he all the nessecary skills and tools to be a big shot but the nessecary pop in his fists as well.Nevertheless it isnt really easy to knock a guy out who went the full route with Sam Peter and David Tua,dont you think so?
