These are the pudgiest couple of cruisers I can ever remember seeing.

They're undisciplined middleweights, basically.

 

Each man primarily targeting his opponent's body with big, meaty shots they're not disguising in the least. Decent action in that respect, but they also both keep falling onto the canvas, several times each in the second round, and none apparently ruled knockdowns (even though body shots preceded most of them), ref considering them all slips.

Messy but not uninteresting slug-fest.

 

Not sure what happened. Rodríguez appears to have retired between rounds claiming a shoulder injury. He doesn't look the least bit pained, however, smiling, posing for pictures with and hugging Kraft.

Oh well, onto the main event.

Mohammedi's ring IQ is about 50 trillion times greater than Krasniqi's, but I can see local judges being swayed by work rate and crowd noise.

Guessing this will be the sort of thing where I have it 116-112 for the Frenchman and the official scorecards are 118-110 x3 for the Kosovar.

Well goddamn...was this originally supposed to be at light heavyweight?!?!

Xhoxhaj's given weight is 79kg (about 174lbs). Mashitoa's is 90.7kg - that is less than a pound under the cruiser limit!

How in the world do you miss the mark by 25 lbs??

 

Xhoxhaj in control. Despite the massive size advantage the South African has a very basic skillset and extraordinarily low KO percentage, so they picked a nice and safe opponent for the chinny local star.
