    Possibly on this channel soon:

    https://www.rtklive.com/sq/livestream/rtk1/

    (also might not be televised)

Crossroads battle of more or less washed-up light heavyweight contenders.

Each is one victory removed from a big defeat. Nadjib "Iron Djib" Mohammedi was kayoed in 5 by Christian M'billi last year in March, and Haxhi "Robin" Krasniqi lost his rematch (and the IBO title along with it) with Dominic Bösel almost two years ago.

    They have four common opponents:

    1. Hakim Zoulikha (lost via TKO12 against Robin in 2012, and by UD10 to Iron Djib in 2017)
    2. Oleksandr Cherviak (lost via TKO6 against Iron Djib in 2013, and by UD12 to Robin the following year)
    3. Nathan Cleverly (Mohammedi lost via UD12 in 2010 and Krasniqi lost via the same result in 2013)
    4. Tomáš "Jumbo" Adámek* (lost to Mohammedi via TKO4 in 2010 and to Krasniqi by UD8 in 2013)

I'm honestly surprised there aren't more; they've swam in the same waters for many years. Both are mediocrities on the world stage but major players on the Euro scene.

*the Czech journeyman, not to be confused with the Polish cruiserweight titlist whose very similar name is Tomasz Adamek.

Seems they are wrapping up this episode of "Verë n'RTK" (some music discussion panel show that also has some acoustic guest performer doing Guns 'N' Roses covers in studio - currently signing off with a rendition of Patience) so we shall very directly be seeing whether live boxing is on next.

Both have fairly dull styles, and it won't be any great loss if we don't get to see it (ten past 10pm in Kosovo, so not abandoning "hope" just yet) but I have always had a bit of soft spot for Mohammedi, who's a good deal cleverer than Krasniqi (who somehow manages to make brawling boring).

And so, WAR IRON DJIB! :ibutt

Why do failed contenders fight on into their late 30s, well past their relevant days? I don't know but they've been doing it forever now. :nusenuse:

Verë n'RTK actually never ended. There was a cooking segment, and now the guitarist in the studio is doing Bon Jovi's "It's My Life".

edit: wait, no, credits rolling now. Finally over.

This four rounder that just started must be a swing bout. Getting late in Kosovo, top of the hour it'll be 11pm local.

edit: this is Isuf Kelmendi vs. Doğukaan Ünlükaya, 4 rounds @ super middleweight

The guy in red & black (I'm assuming Kelmendi, listed as German, since he looks a good deal paler) is beating the shite outta the bloke in grey (presumably Ünlükaya, far more Turkic featured).

In fairness he looks about three weight classes larger.

Ünlükaya escaping round three looks dicey...getting chased around, ripped up to head and body.

He makes a valiant stand with a minute left, flurrying madly as Kelmendi takes a breather on the ropes, then swatted away like a fly.

It's frankly getting a tad embarrassing for Kelmendi not to get rid of this kid.

Decision for the German, obviously. His team lifts him on their shoulders, bit gauche considering what a mismatch this was.

Oddly enough, this might be the match I'm most looking forward to today.:)
