Why all the hate on Valuev guys?

He seems a very decent sort out of the ring...as for Chagaev at this moment in time I rate him as the 2nd best Heavy behind Wlad...I would pick him to beat Fat Sam thats for sure.

Not hate, I just think he's poor. His cynical run at Marciano's record was sickening. It's a shame the WBA heavyweight title has become such a joke but it has been so ever since they withdrew recognition of Lennox Lewis as the heavyweight champ. The Chagaev that showed up for Skelton would not beat Peter.

Indeed. Marciano is one of my all time favourite fighters and I did worry about the implications as I knew that the media over there would use it to hype Valuev and it might actually become fact much like Tyson being the youngest ever HW Champion(actually titlist of course).

Poor performance on that night by Chagaev though I believe he was big time ill before that? Peter has put in a few laboured performances himself in his time to the extent that people were actually staring to like chin jaw clumsy oaf Maskaev's chances against him!

Everything that you say is true.

One obsevation has to be made however.

Waren pursues his fighters financial interests, makes them rich, lets them retire with their brains intact, and they come out of their fight career with a grudging respect for him. He might actualy care for his fighters.

King treats his fighters like a race horse or a grey hound. He runs them into the ground, leavs them with brain damage, then sells them to the knackers yard to make into glue, or ties a brick round their neck and throws them into the nearest mill pond.

agreed though Don King is a even bigger ****

the only fighters i have seen Don King show any care for on a personel level was Larry Holmes and Felix Trinidad

He brought Gerald McCellenan over with all hype and mintuare Mike Tyson labels. When Gerald was bleeding from the brain he took a knee in the tenth to be counted out - Don King was there at ringside not so much encouraging him to get up but like - your not gonna quit on me are you Gerald?
King had no empathy for the fighter who was suffering. And when Gerald was slumped in his corner slipping into a coma Don King who had come to the UK with Gerald was not there he was standing behind Nigel Benn trying to make friends saying to Nigel 'you made a beleiver out of me'. Earlier on that night King had been wishing Gerlad to KO Benn in a round. King is a fickle heartless human being - who's big laugh and million dollar smile disgusies a nasty piece of work inside.

wow Haye slagged off Enzo as well - saying it was easy money just to turn up and obliterate him in two rounds - it was almost like sports network were giving him money from nothing. This must be a blow to Enzo's ego cos he still considers himself good enough to be the best crusierweight in the world. But I have my doubts with good reason - the truth is Enzo was a good operator but when the big one came to prove himself to everyone he **** himself froze did not perform and was blasted away by Haye. Unfortunately Enzo was made to look a paper champion as Haye said he would do.

I think Haye respects Enzo, they got on well after the fight.

I think he's just slagging him off to have a go at Warren. I don't think it would be a personal insult towards Enzo.

If I was a young pro id want my first 10 fight deal to be with Warren, he doesnt rush his fighters and makes them money.

The problem is we know what we are on about, and we know when we are fed bull****, like Khan not fighting Thaxton for the prestigous British title but rather choose some unknown with a ludicrous WBO ranking.

And hold potentially great fighters like Calzaghe and Hatton back, wastin lot of time on easy fights.
