what you can do is build muscles in your neck, and in your lower body, which means your ability to take a punch is much higher.

the thing is dont understand about people saying haye is to chinny as that everyone is to chinny at h/w as the punches are so hard, if you get hit flush your getting KO'd whether your Valuev or Tyson.

haye has the reactions and skills to not get hit like this.

Entirely immaterial. Chin resistance isnt something that can be quantified as the human body is not supposed to take punches! Thus one persons resistance to the next has many factors including thickness of the skull. Either way its an insignificant point.

May be but Vlad did face some massive punchers. Sanders has always been known for his power espcially in the early rounds. Thats heavyweight power point blank. ANY hit flush by any man over 200lbs from a punch they havent seen will normally hit the mat. Thats simple physics. Anyway as long as Haye can learn to lift his left and not be such a front runner i couldnt give a crap about his chin.

his left hand is low for a reason. watch Muhamed Ali, Sugar Ray Robinson, Sugar Ray Leonard, Roy Jones Jnr, Floyd Mayweather, James Toney..............they all carry a low left hand when boxing in the orthadox stance. because there rections are quick enough to dodge punches, it draws an opponent into throwing 1 paticular shot, the right hook, which is generally the easiest shot to see coming and to get out of the way off. also once an opponent has throw the right hook they will be off balance and at a point where they are easiest to hit.

Ok i like Haye buts not Ali SSR PBF etc etc. What you are talking about there are excetional boxers. Haye is not. His a good fighter but reactions are fairly ordinary in comparison to the ATG`s you have mentioned. Now do bear in mind Haye when he fought Mormeck was eating LEAD RIGHT HANDS from a man who is as slow as the foot speed of a cow. Thats bad news and simply means keep your hands up end of story.

I very much doubt Haye will be faster at heavyweight, but I don't think he needs to be.

If he's anything close to as fast as he was at CW then he'll be way, way faster than any other HW out there anyway.

Wlad still KO's him early regardless of the extra muscle. Yes, he's fast, but he's never seen a jab delivered with the speed, accuracy and power that Wlad throws it with. He's also never seen a hook off the jab. I'm sure that's what he will say when he wakes up after the Wlad fight. "I never saw it"

I hope he doesnt get too big going into HW, his biggest assets at the weight will be speed and reflexes. A HW is meant to be powerful so bringing that to the table doesnt add to his repotoire, it's his explosive speed that can get him where he wants to be. Getting too big could nagate that.

As for the chin, it is possible that his chin could improve as he goes up a weight. We've seen it happen with other boxers, however, its usually those that are weight drained. As much as Haye was a big cruiser, I dont think he actually struggled with the weight. Someone could correct me there as I'm not certain. But something to consider!

He was drained as **** allegedly

He claims he had no strength in the Mormeck fight due to the amount of muscle he'd had to lose to make weight, and he fought Enzo sharpish so he could stay in camp pretty much and keep the weight off

I'm not looking at that pic at work but if he is 233 and looking pretty cut, that tells you he's bigger than a cruiser really

For me, he looked quite slow against Bonin and considerably bigger, that was at 217. I think he should be careful how much he puts on, or risk losing his advantages

Wlad is starting to decline a little (based on his last few performances and constant pawing of the jab) i think so this rapid fire jack hammer jab that Haye should be wary off may not be as effective as people think.
Haye needs to keep his hands up - end of story he should be fast enuff at HW (if he hasnt over done the weights) to beat most heavys to the punch.

Haye looks good in the photo, but as stated before is he in good enough shape to go twelve hard rounds?

Despite what alot of people believe having a great body doesnt mean you are a great fighter, Haye will be fighting naturally bigger men who dont have to bulk up to 238lbs to fight.

Plus Haye isnt exactly the most durable of guys (going on past fights) but he does have the equaliser.........but will it count at heavy?
