actually he doesnt lift heavy weight for the exact reason I have been saying. He maxes out at 225lbs about 20 reps (bench) We do lighter weight, high reps.. he does ALOT of swimming now, which is excellent for the body..but yes!!! the boy is STRONG!!!!!

But, as Sean mentioned previously, he's not going to be fighting 20 - 30lbs higher than he fought previously. He will be 20 - 30 lbs heavier than he had to weigh in at previously. He was fighting at between 215 and 220lbs.

So, the question is, how will an extra 10lbs, or so, on fight night affect him. Will it affect his speed that much? Will it affect his stamina? Isn't it possible that his stamina might actually be better from not having to boil down to an artificially low weight for a weigh in?

10 lbs? most likely no big deal. But from that pic in this thread, he looks like he put on alot of muscle. I guess we will find out once he gets in the ring.....whenever that is

I didn't say he FIGHTS like Bruno, I said he REMINDS ME of Bruno physically now that he's bulked up. Big difference, idiot.

Reading comprehension is clearly beyond you, silly.

Yeah yeah and my name is Angelo Dundee:roll:
Im not that interested in anyones credentials here. The bottom line is what we have here is a simple picture of David looking vascular after a work out and striking a pose. Subsequently most of the fools here have proclaimed loudly and blindly that his overtly muscular his on steroids, you cant put muscles on his chin etc. Those opinions are nothing more than trash.
David Haye is a conditioned athlete and a fine boxer. He walks around at 220lbs or so. When he came into the ring he was 215lbs vs Enzo. And now all of a sudden from a picture a ton of you sherlocks are able to magically deduce that his musclebound? His 6ft 3 and 233lbs and some here have a problem with that when they know squat about his regime other than what you see from a picture?

I tell you what im heavier than Haye at 237lbs. Im also 6ft 1 with a 13.9% bf. But get this!! I play basketball with BBL pro`s. I still box. I still train in Silat. And the only thing holding me back is old basketball injuries from nearly 15 years ago. What none of you have failed to realise is that sport is simply a case of diffrent strokes for diffrent folks. EVERYONE has varying degree`s of bodytype and whats one mans poison is another mans gain. Haye is no diffrent. He does NOT look like a bodybuilder and he certainly is NOT overly muscular. But he surely is by an average mans standards - You know the type that types from behind his keyboard whilst doing bicep curls with the other hand.

Stop talking crap and go and watch the fight. Haye was a SOFT 200lbs. He lost that fight because he blew his wad trying to KO the "Cat" early and had nothing left in the tank. Thus he was TKO`ed from exhaustion. It was only his 10th bout and a typical rookie mistake.

In addtion your understanding of CV is dire.. do you know the diffrent between aerobic and anaerobic activity aswell as "how" the body carries oxygen around the body?

I'm sure if you saw compared the picture of pre-bonin non-pumped and bonin fight non-pumped, and then a non-pumped, non greased up and posing version of his current build, the transformation wouldn't look anywhere near as extreme.

What it comes down to is how seriously he is training. He is going to have to train far harder than he has before if he wishes to build stamina for those 12 rounders.

As the above poster says, not every boxer is the same person. Some bodybuilder-looking boxers couldn't beat a tomato can. Others, were some of the best ever.

What does this tell you? Nothing really, other than having an explosive figure is close to useless if you don't train appropriately for endurance and stamina.

Thats pretty much the short and long of it, and now it is in David Haye's hands.

Exactly. Haye V Thompson was more like WALDO V Purrity than WALDO V Brewster. Only difference is Thompson was a damn sight better fighter than Purrity. The Brewster bull**** is just agenda, WALDO got hit on his glass chin and stopped, NO stamina problem whatsoever.
