Looks roided to me for sure. And it has to slow him down and sap his endurance.

 

I really do not get your point here, with the added muscle mass Haye will be slower than at cruiserweight .He will probably still be quicker than most heavyweights.

The fight that creates media attention and is a high profile match is against James Toney. So those two should just get it on. I really think some Haye fans are already scared to death at what a stylistic nightmare Toney could present for the relatively unexperienced Haye.

I find it funny how people talk like he isn't even a boxer and wouldn't know the basics of training. Somehow i don't think he is trying to become a power lifter, im sure he has experienced trainers around him and is working towards building practical explosive punching power, not a monstrous bench, squat and deadlift combo.

I think the "faster at HW" quote is more by a comparative standpoint, meaning he will be comparatively faster at HW than CW.

He should still have some serious speed especially compared to some of the slow guys getting around. I'd like to see him fight Toney as even though Toney's out of shape and over the hill he has an iron chin and would be a terrible style matchup for Haye. Plus the lead up to the fight would be hilarious.

Toney has thrown chat at Haye and if Haye fought him (assuming he won) it would gain him a lot of props. No one wants to see him fight Rahman, he would probably find a way out after a couple of rounds.

 

Haye's got a good physique, but physiques don't win matches

 

I do not see why after time and time again when these "bodybulider" type fighters keep losing people still hug their nuts. Remember all the "Jeff Lacy is going to KO Calzaghe" posts? It is silly.

 

Although Im not a fan of David Haye. It's stupid to disregard him as a bodybuilder who won't win.

He did kick ass at cruiserweight, it's just his hype that he's going to dominate HW thats killing everyone thats not a fan.

Dont blow him off he's done good things at cruiserweight.

I remember back in the day when Wlad had the same physique. He had great power and bad stamina. I see the same problems with Mr. Haye.

 

Are you spliting hairs over a tko or Ko? He will probably turn out to be another Michael Moorer. If that good. Moorer has only been ko'd and tko'd at heavy.

It's hardly splitting hairs when people are using it to make the argument 'OMG Haye was ko'd at cruiserweight, so he must have a glass jaw and will get knocked out by the first breathing heavyweight he fights'.

When actually Haye was stopped on his feet for reasons that had nothing whatsoever with his chin, and that he learnt the appropriate lessons from.

Chin? The current theory on knockout is the SUDDEN movement of the head causing the brain to 'slosh' in the cerebral fluid. So, if you work on neck muscles, you MIGHT gain something. People talk about Abraham's chin because it was broken yet he wasn't knocked out. Then they say it only happened because his mouth was open. If this is the case, that punch by Miranda did not 'prove' AA's chin because it being open may have acted as a shock absorber to a knock out. Indeed, had it been closed, it may not have broken but he could have been in bigger trouble. Just theory.......
