Nah not really. Words like 'super unified' are ridiculous. Haye is the linear champ end of story. Tomorrows fight is for THE title, nothing to do with Maccarinelli but just because Haye is THE champion.

Haye is going after big fish straight after Maccarinelli, Steve Cunningham simply isnt a big enough fish...

Haye - Cunningham would be the equivalent of a Calzaghe Vs Mundine, or Pavlik - Sturm, Mayweather - Quintana, nice lil fights on paper but nothing career defining.

That is true but then you could end up with a situation like buster douglas and Rahman against Lewis.

Max is sentimental. He has a soft spot for Macca because he's down to earth and modest. He dislikes fashinable, confident, urbane Haye. He picked Macca with his heart, not his head.;)

If Calzaghe loses, that would be two big US. vs. UK fights where the UK fightet took an "L". Haye would have an opportunity to erase the bad taste from those losses. Not only that, but he would be a super unified champ. Hopkins is the only other guy to achieve this feat.

I doubt that Haye would give a **** about "avenging" Ricky and Joe, if he were to lose. What does this "super unfied" champ buissness matter?

Haye is obviously then man and people need him not the other way around.

Don't put words into my mouth. In no way do I believe all British fighters are hypejobs(although Hatton is overrated).

    A very deep division.

Add undefeated B.J. Flores, who is top ten now as well.

A super unified champ holds all 5 belts at the same time(WBC,WBA,IBF,WBO, and ring). I don't know why British fans are being so sensitive. I'm simply proposing a match between the top fighter in the division and the no.1 contender. I didn't know this was such a crazy idea.
