Guys like Haye, Wlad, and Harrison all know they have very weak chins, but with a good trainer and improved defensive skills, they can work around it.

I think you have the current heavyweight division confused with a good one. You can list the current big punching 240lb heavyweights that arent fat on one hand. Wlad and erm, well there's Wlad isnt there.

As I've said before 240lb men DO NOT punch harder than guys that weigh 200-220... ie guys that could make the cruiser limit. If you think they can please name a few 240lb plus guys that punch harder than sub 220 guys like Tyson, Louis, Foreman, Shavers and Marciano etc. Lewis is in their league.. but a harder puncher? No. Arguably those 6 guys are the top 6 punchers in HW history yet only 1 was above 220 in their prime, 2 of em under 200.

And, be honest, do you really think Haye has never sparred with heavyweights? He knows what they punch like. Yes he might get sparked next fight. On the other hand he might do the sparking.

James Toney called this out months ago, right on the money. 1) Haye has no chin. 2) Haye doens't want to fight anyone and expects a title shot.

Toney was furious with Haye's insistence to make a fight with Rahman and contacted ...... boxing to put the Hayemaker in check.

" David Haye is a comedian. Is he scared of an old, fat, short guy? He's done nothing to even deserve a fight with Klitschko. He won the Cruiserweight Title from two bums, one old guy and one that can't even fight. And he thinks now he is going to get Klitschko? It's ludicrous."

"Rahman is a joke. I beat him..." "If he got the balls, let's sign the contract and do this. My record is proven. Come try and beat me."

"As terrible as Klitschko is, he will beat Haye. Haye has no chin and no heart, he proved that against Carl Thompson years ago. Things don't change. He's a typical British and Euro fighter. They get fed a bunch of bums and come over here and don't want to fight a good fighter. I will destroy David Haye. He will never fight again.

" Even Monte Barrett will knock him out. He's afraid of me. Haye wants the easy road. After I beat Rahman, I knew they would still go after him because he is fragile.I took his spine and heart in that fight."

"I'll fight anyone. I don't care who it is." "Third time around Sam Peters is going to sleep."

I would love to see Haye spark KFC-man more than anyone else. Athlete vs obesity.

What 240 lbs Heavyweight punchers? Well, just every Champion at Heavyweight that Haye would have to fight. And they all could easily KO Haye with one punch with power to spare.

    1. Vlad
    2. Vitali/ Sam Peter winner
    3. Valuev who although not a massive puncher could absolutely crush Haye and has a real good jab.

i think no boxer is iron chinned, the difference of great boxers among other boxers is they know how to protect their chin.

At least he's able to admit his weaknesses, many other fighters are contempt believing there invincible. It allows him to make the necessary adjustments to make sure this weakness isn't exposed.

haha, I didn't know that was just a British term. Sparked means to get knocked out or hit hard, I think the Americans like to say 'starched'?.

Check out the Naseem Hamed interview about Barry Mcguigan where he says "If i had been around in his day, or if he had been around in mine, I would have knocked that boy spark out" Spark out, lights gone! good example of the phrase!

Vitali wont make it as far as a fight.

Valuev is not a big puncher and never has been.

Sam Peter is fat and would be sub 200lb if he was in shape.

    That leaves Wlad.

Hmm...rare for a fighter to make such an admission. I'm not sure that it's the smartest thing to do. Why let other fighters know that when you can simply let people speculate? We can always assume a guy has a bad chin when in fact, he may actually have a decent one but now the cat's out of the bag apparently.
