I'm rooting for Wlad and thought that too. And it might have been true for a "minute", then Wlad surprised us a bit with his maturity.

Say what you want about Haye, but he's a warrior - all in all he is not ducking anyone and genuinely, unlike Floyd, is passionate about the sport and treats his fans fairly seriously. He knows a bit of psychological warfare and the route he chose with Wlad:

    1. Was based on his complexes (fighting in a somewhat boring, safety first way, having an overprotective older brother in his 30's, being a bit socially awkward person) and had somewhat of a chance to bring good effects.

    2. Made the fight HUGE.

Now he's honest with himself about effects and it's also a sign of not being dumb.
He's not as smart as Wlad though hence my use of words - "PRETTY smart".

Well so far, Haye hasn't paid one price, then-Cassius CLay paid for trying to psych out Liston before their first fight.

In Vegas at the crap tables, Clay tried to work him up publicly, and off to the side they went ("to talk") and Liston (*****) slapped him.

I think this isn't widely known.

Haye probably won't get this treatment from Wlad. (Vitali, I am not so sure about.)

Of course, Clay/Ali had the last laugh.

  4. i dont know what type of misfits u hang around, but if anyone seems socially akward it's haye. publicly offending someone and his/her family members is NOT socially acceptable. anyway, wlad has never ducked anyone either to the best of my knowledge. a defensive style can make for boring fights, but he still wins. i have a lot of respect for the klitschko brothers. they'll get into the ring with everyone and anyone. who have they ducked? the fact that they have been so dominant just reflects the boxers characteristic of this generation.

What Haye was doing is not socially awkward - it's socially inappropriate. Like guys "banging" different chicks every weekend do something inappropriate but are consider "cool" by their pears. Socially awkward means that someone is "geeky", stuttering etc.

Yeah, Klitschkos never ducked anyone too and are excelent champions IMO.

The socalled "Getting in the other guys head" is really just an act of desperation on Haye's part

Doesn't matter. All he has to do is take his heart. Just like Rocky did to Drago in Rocky IV.

I am British and don't give a **** about Haye and I know plenty of people from the UK who have the same opinion, so to suggest that only British people like Haye is ****ing stupid and annoying. I have seen plenty of Americans with Haye avatars, and not that Pizza one, that shows the mental age of the posters on this website.

It's not a comparison in terms of personality but their lack of fighting hearts. :D

Who gives a **** who is 'winning' the mental battle?

I'm a fan of neither, (actually I might be a slight Wlad fan after his crazy magic hand interview) and I can't see how either set of fans get their rocks off over a bunch of talk.

Can't ****ing wait until one of these guys get's KO'd on July 2nd, at least then there will be less of this obsessive "oohhhh xx won that psychological battle he's my hero".

It's more about promotion and hype. Very few fighters genuinely hate each other.

watch Wlad/Peter (1), then tell me Wlad has no heart. Wlad didn't have to keep boxing when he lost, he was wealthy already. Don't give me that no heart bull****, it takes a lot of heart to do what he does.

Why am I even responding? anyone with a brain KNOWS Wlad has fighting heart.
