Klitschko hits Haye with shedload of demands

through the mill with demands during negotiations for a unification bout later this year.

Having got past the TV money issue, with Haye agreeing to split all revenues from the fight evenly even though he brings in more TV cash, The Sun is reporting that the IBF, IBO and WBO heavyweight king is also demanding a German doctor in his corner; that his name goes first on all advertising; and that Haye enters the ring first as he only holds the WBA title.
The news will come as a blow after quotes from Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer on Monday suggested that the only sticking point was finding a date that did not interfere with the football season and could be accommodated by both Sky Sports in the UK and RTL in Germany.
Schaefer told the LA Times, ‘David wants the fight. We are working now on the date and the venue.’ Before going on to offer ‘the largest soccer stadiums in Europe’ as possible venues.
It seems being difficult at the negotiating table runs in the family as older brother

has also seen his talks with unbeaten WBC mandatory challenger Odlanier Solis stall.
Solis, an Olympic heavyweight gold medallist in 2004, has vowed to make Klistchko pay for his deal-making shenanigans, claiming, ‘Vitali is trying to take advantage of me. I will make him pay for that.
‘This is not about money. It’s about respect. The Klitschkos seem to think I’m just another opponent like the last tomato cans they cherry picked so Vitali could easily beat them up.’

And another article from The Sun:

WLADIMIR KLITSCHKO has hit David Haye with a shedload of demands on top of insisting every penny from a showdown is split evenly.

The IBF and WBO world heavyweight champion is also demanding a German doctor in his corner; that his name goes first on all advertising; and that Haye enters the ring first as he only holds the WBA title.
A Haye insider said: "David is bending over backwards to ensure this fight happens in England as soon as possible.
"But now all these other demands are coming in and it makes you wonder what kind of game the Klitschko camp are trying to play.
"David doesn't have a problem with any of those requests, but progress on getting anywhere with actual fight contracts is very slow indeed.
"Does Kitschko want this fight? That is something only they can answer but no one can accuse David of not doing everything in his power to make it happen."
Haye will not flinch from his planned retirement date of October this year when he turns 31, and he wants to go out as undisputed world heavyweight champion by taking on WBC champion Vitali as well before that deadline.

Its called negotiating. If you think Haye should enter the ring last, you must be nuts.

To be perfectly honest, those latest demands are hardly unreasonable...

Except perhaps the German Doctor, thats a little ridiculous.

    What a load of ****...

Its **** like this from the Sun that means whenever you bump into a casual fan, they'll proclaim with utter confidence

''Klitchko's dont want the fight, Haye done everything he can''

I think it's that K2 go out of their way to wring every last advantage from the deal. I can totally see why Haye had no patience for the pair of them.

Really? Then why didn't Audley walk in last? Why did Haye demand that Audley walk in first? Why wasn't the fight billed "Harrison vs. Haye" in marketing and promotion?

Hmm and thinking about it... why was Holyfield - Lewis billed with Holyfield first? Why wasn't it billed "Lewis vs. Holyfield"? You think that's a coincidence? Why did Lewis agree to that? Was he stupid? Or just a pus*** in negotiations?

Also, why did Lewis walk in first vs. Holyfield in the MSG? Again, was Lewis an idiot? Or is this how things get done when he was challenging the recognized champ in Holyfield?

And the most important question: Why did Lennox not run to the Sun and cry to them "Holyfield doesn't allow me to put my name first on the posters!!!! I am doing everything I can but it seems Holyfield doesn't want the fight!!!"

See once you think about it it's not a big deal unless some dumbass Brit newspaper and Haye's camp try to make a big deal out of it.

Clearly thats not the major issue. Insisting on there choise of docter is crazy.

Haye's name was first in the Audley fight because he was the champion. It Hayes last fight for an undisputed title the fight was billed as "Macceranelli vs Haye" and Haye came out first. he couldn't give a ****.

Guess what nobody gives a **** about to....your opinion so **** off.

I couldn't have said it better myself. After the Harrison fiasco and all his talk of retiring, Haye cannot afford to go all primadonna on this one.
I mean Haye thinks he's "generous" by giving Wlad 50/50 :yep

Wlad's name being first and Haye entering the ring first are reasonable demands. Wlad is a unified champ and the no.1 in the division so Haye is essentially the 'challenger' here.

But the German doctor? I'm assuming that's if the fight is in England? So Wlad's trying to claim British doctors are dodgy and they'll unfairly stop the fight or something.

I'm hoping Haye is taking the attitude "dyo know what? **** it, they can have all these things." And if Wlad really wants the fight why be so petty? This is Mayweather like here. When they were negotiating Floyd/Pac and everything apart from the drug testing was agreed, Floyd was saying his name had to be first on everything, that he'll enter the ring second and Manny didn't give a ****. He accepted all that.

Same with Sergio Martinez - middleweight champion of the world but Williams' people forced him to come down to 157, forced him to enter the ring first, be introduced first but Sergio didn't care. He just waited for the bell to ring and knocked Paul out.

So I'm hoping one of Haye or Wlad stops being petty and just agrees to all these silly, small requests and gets the fight made.
