whether haye and povetkin challenge wladimir this year, or later in 2009, doesn't change my prediction that wladimir ko's both these fighters. not saying they are crap or will be an easy fight. in fact i think wladimir will have to be 100% focused for both opponents. however, if both fighters want wladimir THIS year it's TOO early for them. this year both would suffer bad one sided defeats. late next year they might fair a bit better, but still ultimately lose. but at least they will still be marketable despite the loss! at the moment they would lose bad and therefore be seen as average when i dont consider them average. povetkin needs time simply because he needs to work on his style and gameplan. the current method he uses will be suicide against wladimir, in my opinion. as for haye i feel he will fill into a good heavyweight frame and retain his speed for the most part. but the stamina, chin and power on his punches have yet to be really tested. therefore he needs time to get really comfortable before trying to fight wlad. then again fighting wladimir early has it's perks too. they get a great payday and the risks are worth it to fight the partially unified champ and no1. heavy in the division AND if they lose they will have in-built excuses. povetkin will claim the lack of fights as a pro as his reason and haye will claim the step up in weight and fight against a champ too soon as his reason! haye's super confident which i truly feel will be his major weakness. he'll be cautious in there but once the jab starts thudding into his face, it will change his gameplan BIG time and lead to a nasty ko loss. as for povetkin i think his chin is a lot better than haye, but he will end up a punching bag until the ref stops the fight or he is ko'ed. :thumbsup
:yep :rofl I wasn't sure since English isn't your frist language. If Mormeck can knock him down then Wladimir will knock him out.
It will be interesting to see if Haye tightens up his D and becomes a counter puncher with his speed at Heavyweight. He has the skills to be a top counter puncher
if lamon brewster, corrie sanders, ross purity and the goat herder can floor kkklitschko imagine what super haye is going to do.
Get knocked on his arse? I hope he can take the win but I just feel it's a bit early and Wlad wants to catch him while he's still cold to the Heavyweights. He probably feels this is a good chance to keep him out the way as he may become a threat a year or so down the line.
Neither fighters have great chins but Haye was stopped by Carl Thompson and dropped by Mormeck and neither of those have anything like the power Wlad has. If Haye lands early then Wlad could fall but I see Wlad wearing Haye down and stopping him around the 8th.
