WAAAAAAAY too early for Haye to be making this kind of jump. He needs to be sure he can take an average HW punch before he takes on the hardest punch in the division. Wlad will win this easily.
From this article, it sounds as if Haye is wanting the Wlad fight to be his very next fight. How ballsy is that? Gotta give the guy credit for being so confident, even if his confidence and boldness will, more than likely, get him laid out, cold. LOL But as has been said, with Wlad having to face Povetkin in the fall, this Haye fight would have to follow that, cause the IBF made it clear that Povetkin MUST get his shot this fall.
Hope they fight in England, could fill a football stadium if promoted properly by GBP. A 24/7 would be great for this, not much heat, but they are both charismatic.
Good PERNT ( point ) Dunks, and Toney would be a good tune-up with an experienced guy who may even beat him
Everytime Haye tried to pass the salt Wlad would slap his hand down. The dinner was very tactical to say the least. Sign the contracts and the heavyweight division will be relevant again.
from fightnews.com Speaking to Setanta Sports News, Klitschko said, "I met this guy yesterday. Id never heard of him before but he was so loud that I could have heard his voice overseas. Hes a nice guy but hes so excited about his career and moving up to the heavyweight division and winning all the titles. Hes definitely got a good punch and is a great boxer but hes just so loud its unbelievable. The one thing that he does have already, though, is that hes very self-confident. He has to have a couple of good fights at heavyweight and, after that, who knows? If he continues to do well then maybe we will fight each other. Maybe Great Britain is going to have the next undisputed heavyweight champion of the world but only after I retire.
Klitschko has two mandatory fights in a row. WTF does Haye expect? Haye needs to fight live HW's and earn a shot. Jean Marc Mormeck almost took Haye out and he isn't even a puncher at crusierweight. Mormeck just throws way too many punches untill he gets tired. Haye doesn't even take a good punch at CW, and he just relies on his power; he is not that skilled.
I'm sure something can be worked out. Keep in mind that money is what does the talking at the end of the day. If the promoters make it financially worth his while, Povetkin would probably agree to step aside. Not to mention a guaranteed shot at facing the winner. I'm just a little unclear about Haye's rankings within the IBF and WBO since he hasn't officially vacated his cruiserweight titles. ****! Just make this fight happen. They can use the IBO's rankings for all we care. Just get these 2 guys in the ring. It's far more intriguing than any fight out there other than maybe Valuev who still needs to get by Chagaev. As much as I'd like to see Wlad/Peter II it doesn't look like that's gonna happen anytime soon cuz of Vitali.
This is why Haye is the man!! no nonsense fighting and destroying the best. He will brutally KO Klitschko and shock the world.
