IBF and WBO world heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko has met with Londoner David Haye to discuss a possible title showdown this year.
The pair went for a meal on Thursday night to talk about the fight.
The Ukrainian told BBC London 94.9: "He is looking forward to switching to heavyweight, but it's not an easy step.
"There are exceptions like [Evander] Holyfield, who was a very successful heavyweight, so we'll see what David Haye is going to do."
Klitschko wants the fight to be in London.
"I'm looking forward to fighting in London again, because London, like Great Britain in general, has such a great boxing community, it's amazing." Haye plans to vacate his cruiserweight titles in the next few months as he prepares to step up to the heavyweight division.

First fight at heavyweight against Wlad?

If true, Haye's balls are even bigger than I thought.

Give Haye a warm-up bout against a Monte Barrett type, then thrown him in there. In my humble opinion he would take Vlad. The biggest problem is that jab, but if/when he gets past that then the fight should be his.

Would really luv to C this one come off. It would be good for the sport.

OK I'll rephrase, first fight in his heavyweight campaign. I wasn't including the Bonin fight because it was a stay busy fight, while waiting for a WBC shot, which Haye couldn't be bothered with the effort of getting down to 200lb for.

I'd be very surprised if there was no warm up fight to see how Haye gets on with the 30lb he's talked about putting on.

Jeez. I guess the David Haye hype train will be ending soon then. I expected him to have at least two fights at Heavyweight against ok opposition before jumping into the title frame. At the moment I think Wlad will stop in under four rounds.

Bank on it. With that low left hes just asking for it.

Ive always liked Haye since 2004 I think it was when I seen his 10th fight or so against Williams and I still do, I respect his bollocks.

But recently he has descended into Ricky Hatton Roy Jones esque 3rd person mode 'The Hayemaker is going to do this and that' hes even began to be downright disrespectful to his opponents.

He will pay for that against Wlad who im loyal to as ive watched him since 2003 since I got into this sport. He will pay dearly via humiliating early KO.

    Bank on it.

Tell you what's special about Haye

While he is super-confident in his own abilities, he realises a loss here or there isn't the end of the world

Too much emphasis on keeping zeroes these days

That said, he clearly ought to have some fights at HW first, do it the Holyfield way. Build up gradually.

Haye should build up to that fight, win one or two of the belts. Its the biggest money fight for either of them so they would be stupid to have it right now when in 2 years it would be a huge fight.. At the moment it would fill the 02, if its a unification it could fill Wembley!
