I could see Haye having a good chance in this fight, especially given that Klitschko seems to have retired his right hand.

Bring on the Klitschko chicken dance after he eats a hayemaker! :nut

Haye would be by far the best fighter Klitschko has faced. He has his left hand low for a reason, its been like that since he was an amateur and he did pretty well then and has done very well since.

If Sam Peter can hit Klitschko, Haye can.

Haye should be a lot quicker than Wlad, should be able to use his speed to avoid the jab.

He used Enzo's jab to win that fight, kept making Enzo jab over Haye's shoulder and then countering - Wlad is bigger and better than Enzo, but I think Haye could do the same again.

Do not get me wrong I think Haye is a great fighter and a great guy too but I can not see him winning this fight straight away. Maybe in 09 he will have a definate chance of success against the only really good heavyweight out there.

In reality though Wlad has a few fights already lined uo. Thompson and then Povetkin have got to be accomidated and then who ever else put's themself in the frame. I can see Haye having two good build up fights pretty quick when he comes back and then he may make a serios push for the title and a fight with Wlad if Wlad is still the champion. I can see why they want to start building this fight up from the fighters point of view and the promoters and the governing body. This is the biggest fight in Heavyweight boxing at the moment and with the right build up and negotiations it could turn out to ba a ******* and the fight that restores confidence in the sport.

According to a interview Klitschko has done with Setanta Sport he states that he is open to a fight with Haye but only after he has proved himself at heavyweight. Different take to what is said on the article on the bbc site.

Booth will need a wheelbarrow to push his boy home in if he steps in with Wlad

Wlads a classy guy and contrary to alot of the recent wave of boxing fans think, an exciting fighter.

Im saying it loud and proud here in early 2008.

Wlad is going to flatten David Haye. Whenever, wherever.

Haye is the much more fluid boxer out of the two and has a big punch but Klitschko makes the most of his size and has a very strong long Jab .... would be interesting. Let's hope it happens ...

I think you are spot on here. In an era of great heavyweights (eg. 70s) Wlad would be meat and veg. He is fortunately making his living in a poor era for heavyweight boxing. Maybe Haye with the right application could change all that ... he is certainly worth watching.

Looks like another Hatton type hype train is building up. Terry D and ianb, i bet you were certain that Hatton was going to knock out Mayweather with his 'intelligent pressure'.

Klitschko would be the favourite no doubt but can you imagine how negatively he would fight against someone like Haye?
