Looks like Haye has hired Shane to be his trainer to plan his assault on the heavyweight division. A fit and active Haye is a force regardless of the silly toe incident when he was outclassed by Wlad. I think he beats Fury, Whyte, Povetkin and Joshua. I think only Wlad has his number and beats him. Thoughts...
Yeah agree he beats fury, whyte, and joshua. Don't know about Povetkin, think haye's chin would be tested and would get stopped.
When has a fighter had 3 years out and come back anywhere near where they were? Ray Leonard? I was a big fan but with his shoulder injury I can't see this comeback lasting. Haye was always low risk high reward. In his prime he would beat fury and he was wobbling wilder all over the show in the sparring video pre fury but who is going to want to sign to fight him. He's had about 3 come backs never amount to anything. Shame he had plenty of decent fights waiting but can't see him becoming world level again.
Possible return on the Frampton-Quigg undercard if he takes one of the four Cyclone Promotions undercard slots which are available.
By "his assault on the heavyweight division", you mean maybe plan a fight with some countryman for a lot of money, with a good chance of pulling out and then retire again? :blood And that Shane guy, is that Barry McGuigan's brother?
I think Haye will come back this time. In the summer he had a cheque bounce and his credit card declined in Dubai and he's just sold the ring out of his gym. Conclusion: He's brassic. He'll be aiming for 3-5 fights to bank ITRO 5-10m.
Yeah exactly... He might get 1 or 2 fights against low tier guys but he was never the most durable as soon as he goes in against someone decent can see it being game over. If his speed and power have gone he's f***d cause its not like he can fall back on a granite chin or work rate
He won't fight again. He might need the money but there isn't enough money there for him to take the risk with a knackered shoulder and no desire.
Any idea of when he is actually planning to make this comeback, could it be on the undercard of Quigg v Frampton by any chance?
