Ridiculously general statements like this don't really shed any light on the situation. Where do these 'casual boxing fans' that you're speaking of live? If you mean casual fans in Germany, then I'm sure they can tell Wlad and Vitali apart. If you mean casual fans in the UK, then Haye is now known to all of them. They've probably heard of the Klitschkos now, but there's a lot less chance of them being able to distinguish between them.
:good Spot on! The end of the day Vitali seems to only fight in Germany and other European countries, why? Because his fights don't excite people, not many look forward to seeing him or his brother....hence why they can't sell out a Wembley Stadium or an MGM Grand. Haye-Vitali should be 50-50 down to the pure fact that Haye will make the fight commercially and financially appealing to broadcasting networks and venues worldwide. Haye's a champ too now so even more so than when he was a challenger! Vitali vs anyone else in the HW division wouldn't be able to even contemplate the sort of venues that are being proposed for this fight so there should be no argument at a 50-50- split! Haye will be making the PPV money more in anycase and the gate receipts so if anyone deserves more it's Haye, however he won't ask for it!!
cmon dude you've been here long enough to know this is a haye , klitschko thread. Only hyperbole and half baked statements are allowed :nono
This fight needs to be made quick cause i can see the excuses about age already appearing when Vit is face down with his leg twitching. Good god. How is Wlad going to react to that?? Haye might have to take him out then and there
In terms of the US, that's probably true. It's also not particularly relevant. The US market would be a side issue in a Haye/Klitschko fight in terms of interest and revenue generated.
As I said, some of their "Stuff" may be choreographed, but if you allow anyone into your head, then they are allowed to squat there!
The fact that "Prime" Vitali would have undoubtedly removed that fat punch-bag, Johnson, from the ring long before the final bell.
He was brilliant in his fight against Arreola. After that one, many considered him invincible. Even in the Gomez fight, he seemed untouchable. Last Sunday, not so. His fight against Johnson was a let down - he seemed to be unable to open Johnson up. No hooks, uppercuts, no switching to the right jab. VK got bruised from 5 power shots and a dozen successful jabs from featherfisted Johnson. Now imagine Haye's best shots. Knocking down Vitali is next to impossible, but a TKO on cuts is not.
I too was surprised to see Vitali so marked up. As for his chin, no offence mate but the man's beard is superb!!
