I couldn't agree less Jack. Wlad wants to fight both Haye & Chisora, Haye pulled out, not Wlad. End of the story.................:deal
Not being from UK, isn't there any other network that could have carried this event on the original date besides SKY. Or does Haye have a contract with them as well?
over here it is pretty much sky, sky box office and primetime. haye has a really good deal with sky box office though, so i don't imagine him ever giving it up. something like £10.00 a ticket sale. i've pulled that number out of my arse but i know he gets a good percentage.
Arthur Daley There is primetime pay per view but they can't promote it as well as Sky can, not even close actually. Ok thanks, I wouldn't expect him do so either
Is it worth fighting Chisora if it means no Haye fight? Seriously, let me ask you. Assume you're in full control of Wlad right now and I'm in charge of Haye. I want you to drop the Chisora fight and fight Haye instead. What do you personally want?
I want my fighter to be ready, and that doesn't mean sitting on your ass for better than half a year................I would tell you to tell your boy Haye that's not acceptable.
Vitali Klitschko: "I'm ready to fight in the US, Germany or Great Britain. Let's make contract. Straightaway we are ready to sign the contract - I want to fight David Haye." http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/boxing/9192282.stm
First off, Haye could be the one fighting on April 30, and if Haye was really that determined to make the fight happen asap that's what he would do. Thats 3.5 months from now..way more than enough time to prepare. If Haye's TV network won't play ball that's Haye's problem, not Wlad's. Now I'd be prepared to blame Wlad for not wanting to go to the UK for this fight, but Wlad already tried that in 2009. Haye failed to deliver the promised venue and then bitched out twice. Wlad doesn't want to put his fate in Haye's fickle hands, so he proposes to fight on Apr 30 and July 2. Don't forget Haye is the one who is now refusing to fight on the agreed upon date. His rationalizations for ducking are mutually exclusive. On the one hand he says he can't wait until July 2 because he has to fulfill his mandatory before then. On the other hand he says he can't fight Wlad July 2 because Wlad wants an interim fight. So which is it? It's a bunch of bull****. Haye and Wladimir managed to get their names out there during a slow time for boxing news. If Haye really wanted a Klit next he could have either bro.
Besides, Haye is the one who gave the ultimatum saying that's not doable, as if only his opinion counts. Haye wants to retire in October but again, that's his problem, not Wlad's. It's a self imposed retirement, not mandated by anyone but Haye himself.
come off it, thats from november. since then vitali has entered negotiations with his mandatory and left wlad to fight haye. do you really think he will deny his brother his biggest payday? that isn't rhetorical btw, if vitali wants the fight still i say haye has no good reason not to take it, but do you think vitali does want it when wlad has a "tentative agreement" i doubt it personally.
He's done it before and shown no decline. I'd say that and suggest having a fight only on German TV or whatever, or even an exhibition match to be in good shape. You'd still go with Chisora?
That sounds familiar. Didn't Wlad say he'd fight "anywhere"? What happened to that? He said "no" to Vegas, then "no" to America and then "no" to Britain. It was a blatant lie. The fight even makes more money in Britain, yet he refuses to fight here. That's indefensible.
