Why not, this would be about three months after Vitali fights Solis. If what I heard is correct for that fight of March.17th. Just recently Vitali fought Arreloa and within 3 months fought Kevin Johnson. Would love to see Haye fight within 3 months. Especially after that three round farce with Afraud. He should have been back fighting the next day after the lack of energy he had output there.
Has anybody even heard Haye even whisper Vitali's name since this happened?

nothing to do with activity, more to do with respect.

vitali knows for wlad it is personal, he knows for wlad it will be one of his defining victories. moreso they have a tentative agreement in place.

i would be surprised if vitali tried usurping his brother here.

    Again, what about the promotion?

Wlad would have 8 weeks to train and that's without any promotion at all. How much do you think a fight of this enormous magnitude deserves in terms of promotion? Look at average fights like Bradley/Alexander toured for weeks and that was an American only fight. Haye and Wlad would have to do continental Europe, the east, Britain and America at the very least. ideally, they'd have over a month, I'm sure. Because they'd only have 8 weeks, you think the fight could get close to the promotion it deserves?

    No.

Jack, I see your point. In the grand scheme of things, this is a mega fight that everyone has been waiting for, How much promotion do you think it needs? Just asking. We have all been waiting far to long! The fight happens, its going to sell, end of story there.

I think it needs a lot, honestly. Especially in America.

Apart from the question of how much it "needs", I think it "deserves" a lot. It's the best heavyweight fight in such a long time and I would LOVE it to be big news. Seriously, Wlad is a good looking guy who is dating a famous actress and a stereotypically strong eastern European. Haye is a naturally charismatic, good looking guy. He's young, mixed race and would appeal to lots of different people. I mention their looks because this fight has crossover potential and that does actually help. It could be fight to literally save heavyweight boxing which has become a laughing stock in recent years. GBP can probably get both guys on a talk show, they will be on national American news and there could even be a special on HBO about it, given the magnitude of the bout.

I think it deserves it. If Wlad is in camp for 18 weeks non-stop, Haye is only on British TV, it will only be a fraction of what it could be. The heavyweight division and boxing as a whole, deserves more than that.

    jack your absolutely spot on.

ive never liked haye. but people need to understand and see without bias that this isnt a fair situation for haye.

they both know they cant fight in april.
wlad doesnt want a long lay off. i understand that. well then fight in may/june! oh no wait. that would mean having to fight in the UK! which he clearly does not want to do!
SO the only day available is july 2nd now, if wlad wants a home fight. wlad then moans he still wants to fight april 30th.

But he KNOWS haye cannot fight until may/june earliest! so its IMPOSSIBLE for haye to have a tune-up for the fight. is that fair? no its not. unless you klit nuthuggers think its fair wlad has a tune-up and haye doesnt

if wlad didnt want such long inactivity, fight in the UK in may/june
if your so desperately want to fight in germany, then fine, july 2nd is the day and DONt **** it up by fighting chisora on april 30th. why the **** should he have it both ways?!?! how the hell is that a fair proposition on haye?!?

You make a good point but I don't think it is a factor. The signed for 2009 fight in April and the fight date was in June. It wasn't an issue back then.

The fight was nowhere near as big then, as it is now. Not even close. The build up could and should be huge, internationally, whereas back then, it was only seen as another world title fight.

Talk about Klit nuthuggers. What about all you Phayeggots. Seems like if you were born in the UK you were born with Hayes dick in your mouth. Very hard to find a lot of people defending Haye that aren't from there. Why could that be. hmmm..

you wanna have a look at numerous polls on esb about this. seems a LOT of people are backing haye. and not just brits.

infact i was on another boxing forum to see what the vibe is about this issue. on there its mostly americans and the poll was very wide in favour of WLAD being the ducker.

opinions are FAR more polarised this time around. whereas first haye was CLEARLY in the wrong, this time it seems people are far more split about it

    one more thing...

if haye really is ducking WHY agree to everything the klits said...i suppose he can tell the future and KNEW wlad would fight chisora and then use that as an excuse?
