i honestly dont believe povetkin to be a more worthy challenger. gold medal aside he has beaten very few standout fighters eddie chambers aside. bryd was shot and on way down. haye has beaten to top 20 fighters and moving up from weight class where he was undisputed

Haye. Power and speed in spades.

And why would that B level Arreola be on that list? Beating Walker does not put you ahead of Sultan, Valuev, Sam Peter, etc.

No way is Arreola one of the top four heavies.....I would not even put him top ten, given no more than he's done.....

    Nah,
Hell, Wlad could not even knock rachman out cold even when his still sitting on the ropes LOL!
Haye knocks people out cold, He don't cherry pick them.

Prior to fighting Maccaranelli Haye wasnt sparking everyone. The Dane and the Italian spring to mind.

And lets remember it took 5 knockdowns to get rid of Barrett who was a walking corpse from the first round.

Haye is a ko puncher, dont get me wrong but i think there is more fiction than fact concerning the way he is knocking people out.

To say he is the biggest punching heavy out there after only fighting 1 top 20 fighter and a Polish club fighter is doing the other guys who have ko'd good fighters a disservice.

Bonin is not and never has been a legitimate top 20 heavyweight.

In the fight prior to Haye Bonin was put down in the first round against a guy making his debut.....lets not get carried away with that win.

in my eyes, bonin is not top 20, but wbc had stuck him in at 11. yes he got put down, but got up to win. bonin might aswell have been undefeated as audleys stoppage of him was premature and dodgy.

This poll shows the current standard of the heavyweight division...

I guess I'll go with Haye but that is me being optimistic about his potential.

Arreola is on a par with Butterbean and its wild that he's getting a title shot.

Barrett was out cold? Actually, Barrett was in much worse shape after he fought Wlad, than he was against Haye... and that was in Barrett's prime. Haye fought an over the hill Barrett would had been knocked out in 2 rounds by Cliff Couser the year before.

Chag- he has been dissappointing as a pro, and yet is an undefeated champion with wins over five guys who have been in the top 20. His package of skills, tough chin and great stamina with a soutpaw style and some power, are hard to beat.

I like Povetkin too, although he ought to fight a few more fights before taking on Wlad. He had great smatina and throws a lot of punches, and that makes it hot for anyone.

Haye, I think is based partially on wishful thinking. HE is exciting with fast hands and power, but I don't udnerstand why his fans insult Wlad for being knocked down and stopped by power punching heavies, when Haye has more recently been knocked down and stopped by cruiserweights. It makes no sense. If Haye is serious, he needs to take a coupel of fights agaisnt the Ross Puritys and Rahmens if the world himself to get ready.

Arreola needs a diet and a half dozen more fights with a lot of focus on polishing the defense.

I wonder what the word is on Ibragimov. Last I heard he's been relaxing after the Wlad fight, but nothing about a return to the ring yet. Any idea on if he's going to come back?

i believe a member of his management team a few months back told the media he wasn't sure if iggy would set foot in the ring again.
