What more can you ask from Haye? Barrett showed amazing courage and heart to get up knockdown after knockdown. Haye knocked him down five times and it's not his fault Barrett kept getting up.

I have never knocked Haye for not knocking him out cold... I was simply pointing out the misguided logic in the post that I responded to.

Thanks for the quick reply, that's the same thing I heard- I just wasn't sure if anything came up since and I'd missed it.

He was talking retiremetn even before the Klit fight. He said something to the effect of his mother worries about him fighting and, slight paraphrase here: "There are many ways that I can be a good man in this world without boxing."

    Or something like that.

He should take one more stab at it. He went from being a quick handed power puncher to a cautious boxer. He ought to try ad******g his strategy to his oppoent, rather than walking in with some kind of gameplan already predetermined.

Thats such a crap post, since then he's knocked out Couser in a rematch as well as 2 other guys by ko so why harp on about that?

Anyway to answer the question Haye is easily the best heavyweight after the Klits.

I'd go with Chagaev from that list as long as he can remain active and injury free. Povetkin and Haye are also in with a shout. I don't rate Arreola at all.

I'd love to see Haye / Chagaev, or Haye/Peter, after Vitali thrashes Haye and takes some of that fire out of him.

How about Povetkin - Chagaev? That would be a good match up in my opinion.

    Arreola :good

His long history in the amateurs is something many people like to neglect looking into or at because he's fat and just a guy that looks like another gang banger trying to make it big.

He throws punches in bunches and uses unorthodox series of combinations that catches everyone at somepoint.

And although being a fat ****in' slob he never looks winded or completely exhausted, which is interesting because just imagine a motivated Arreola :bbb

People like to dismiss this man as just a fat guy with a puncher's chance...and that's many people's mistake coming in.

Arreola has demonstrated he's a smart guy and knows how to time his opponents and raise the volume on his power shots when things are getting intense.

I think if wasn't fat and always came in at 230 or 225, people wouldn't give him as much **** as they do and he'd be a "hype job." But since he's fat and has been down in the Walker fight, they call him sloppy, slow and a joke of a HW contender.

I see GREAT potential in this guy. If he TRULY motivates himself. He'll excell above all the others.

Haye is the real hype job. They see a buff guy that can bang and is quick for a HW. But there's a guy that solely relies on his speed and power punches to get him outta there. He has WEAK defense, very questionable recovery abilities, another question mark on his chin. Came in WAY too cautious against Barrett, who just about any other REAL HW would've disposed of in the first 3 rounds...including Arreola. Haye will be exposed against Vitali and then after such a loss he'll go after Arreola the new champ, and get exposed again as not only a liar for saying he hurt the man in the gym, but a HW pretender.

Talking about Haye, is there any truth to the rumours that Chris and he sparred in the past?

"We've heard that too. There is no truth to it whatsoever. We've never even met the guy or seen him in person. Chris was laughing about that - he is the first to admit it when a guy gets the better of him in the gym, but he's never even laid eyes on Haye. It's just that, rumours."

Vitali isn't thrashing Haye. He's defiently not what he used to be four years ago, his feet look like they are in quicksand, his reflexes aren't what they used to be and quick heavyweights with power will spell trouble for Vitali. Haye wins this on points. I would give Wlad a much better chance against Vitali.
