Beating Glass Jaw Tye Fields is a big win? LOL. Didn't Wlad KO Barrett like 8 years ago?

I actrually think this would be a good fight and barrett has gone up against bigger opposition than haye so I would have to go with barrett on this one, but none the less a good match up.

this puts haye in a bad spot he needs to ko him but not to fast because then it will tell us nothing but barrett is bad and even if he takes a UD where he wins every round hes a bust because he couldnt ko a little heavy..bad fight for him i think he wins but no matter what he wont get any love

Good fight if it happens. Monte definitely has a chance to win it and spoil Haye's heavyweight party.

I agree. At least Barrett has some KO power with which to nail Haye (assuming Barrett can deliver his payload, that is) and Barrett is also a decent boxer.

Not bad. I'd just as soon see Barrett in there as I Chambers.

    Bring it on!

Chambers would've been the preferred choice but Barrett is a good #2 option. Compared to guys like Kevin Johnson, Ray Mercer and Jason Estrada...this is like Tyson.

pretty humbling for haye if this is the only fight he can get. he ridiculed barrett as a choice of opponent a month ago, saying that he was a journeyman who'd just knocked out a basketball player, and wasn't a worthy opponent.

i guess he's getting desparate while we approach fight night.

I hope that it is true, because Barrett is exactly the type of fighter Haye should be fighting. He is experienced and respected. We stand to learn alot about Haye as a HW if this fight happens.

Eddie Chambers!!! He accepted a deal from Booth but im sure Booth saw how good Chambers was and went with Barrett. very disappointing from Haye. i just lost some respect for him. He talked too much and is not backing it up. Barrett is a soft touch compared to Chambers. His size and conditioning are the only things holding him back from being a top 5 guy.

Eddie Chambers has a tremendous and quick right hand, reliable jab, solid left hook, slick upperbody movement, and ring intelligence. He is a true top 10 hw. Barrett is not a top 20 guy imo.

A win against against Chambers makes Haye a legit contender. A win against Barrett makes Haye a top 15-20 hw depending on how good he looks.

Yes, Haye was too much for Barrett a couple weeks ago.

    Now, I guess not. :blood
