As an event Haye-Wlad is huge, no question about that. But if Haye wins you can't say, wow i didn't see that coming. He is going to be the best Wlad has been in with in my opinion and despite cleaning up the division he is still the same man that has been beaten by 3 guys of lesser ability than Haye. Nobody has come anywhere close to beating Ward and he hasn't been in with stiffs. Miranda, Kessler, Green, Bika, Abraham.

    Depends how you term this.

Beating Wlad is a bigger 'achievement' in the sense he's unifying the most prestigious division in boxing as a former cruiserweight. Very rarely done.

But I think beating Ward is a far tricker assignment. Wlad is a giant manufactured fighter thats good at what he does. But ward is a natural fighter. Thats the difference.

They technically arent as good as Haye, think im safe on that. Besides Wlad who we know has a glass chin, which other top level fighters have they knocked out and i don't mean guys who stand straight infront of them ? Haye has showed at the very least comparable power against decent opposition in his heavyweight career so far.

I saw Ward against Abraham and I'm not seeing this second coming thing.

Why do people think he is so good. He UD Green and Bika and before then butted his way to a TD against Kessler. He also beat Abraham but outboxing somebody who doesn't throw punches isn't the hardest thing in the world

    When has he looked special?

Froch over Ward would be the greater achievement. As much as I like Froch and hope he can do it, I just don't see how he's going to beat Ward. I think that fight will be similar to Froch Dirrell except Ward will actually land fast combos and Froch will likley follow him round the ring loading up with single shots. Haye however has all the tools at his disposal to take Wlad out and I can see several ways he could conceivably do it

Umm I think the fact that he's beaten Green, Bika, Kessler and Abraham is quite an achievement regardless of whether he goes on to be anything special. People are dismissing Froch, Dirrell and Ward's wins over Arthur Abraham as nothing significant. Abraham was second favourite for the super six slightly Kessler at the start. Ward's beaten both of them.. decisively.

If they both win, I'd rank Froch ahead of Haye p4p. So I guess I'll have to say Froch

It's how they beat them which will definitely stand out most.
I can't call the haye-Klit fight at all.

That's a good point. I think most would accept that Haye is more likely to stop Wlad than Froch is to knockout Ward and given that it's gonna be seen by a bigger audience not just worldwide but over here too and I guess Haye winning is likely to go down as far, far bigger than a Froch win.

But I think it's one of those things where while Haye would get more recognition from GMTV and Soccer AM, Froch gets more respect from genuine boxing fans around the world.

I think it's safe to hay Haye isn't technically better than many.

I don't rate his power too much. To be honest, I was probably being a little harsh. You win:good Haye is probably just a cut above those guys, I agree Sanders was a part time fighter by that point, he did have pretty fast hands and a respectable dig though. Brewster was above average nothing more. Haye is a bit better than that, decent I would say.

I am absolutely hoping he makes me look an utter ****. It would make everything come together, make sense and give me a bit of a different outlook on these last few disappointing years, where I've been staggered by the flaws but not focusing on the results.

Although I maintain that Haye will not do as well against Wlad as Sanders did (i.e battering him/winning conclusively) nor will he win. Wlad is a different fighter now, and Haye is quality, but not quite that good IMO. Hope he can pull something out of the bag, I favour Wlad so much it would be a massive shocking upset for me and a great boxing moment.

IF THE MANNER OF VICTORY IS IMPRESSIVE:deal

It'll be interesting to see what the reception is and lasting impression is if Haye gets a relatively dull decision win (like the Valuev fight).

We know he's retiring at the end of this year (apparently at least but I believe it) so this could be it, although I expect a Vitali fight to follow. But it'll be interesting to see how the general public react to what could be a 'boring' fight.

Call me cynical but I think Haye has to either TKO/KO Wlad in order to win this one. If it goes 12 rounds he'd need to of won it by a clear margin and in a decisive fashion, I'm not so sure I see that happening.

Haye beating Wlad of course. Ward is just some bloke at one of the dwarf weight classes at the end of the day.

Even if Froch beats Ward (WBA), Bute (IBF), Kessler (WBO soon) Hopkins (WBC LHW)

The UK would still not have heard of him.
