I've recently rewatched the DeMori fight and I've noticed, Haye did not look noticeably slow. Of course in comparison to previous fights he might be slow, but I didn't compare to previous fights and I would expect him to be slower because he's heavier.

Now compared to the Bellew fight; he looked very slow in the Bellew fight. Noticeably slow; he in fact looked shot, looked like he didn't even train.

To me it looks like he didn't train and he underestimated him, combined with the injury he had no chance.

I think he will come back and come back well, what do you guys think? It was a really unlucky injury and he obviously didn't train well.

It was hard to gauge anything in the Demori fight as Demori is a total bum and looked absolutely terrified in there against Haye. I think if Haye comes back he should try to get a rematch with Bellew because he will win. It did look like he underestimated Bellew and thought he would KO him with the first good shot he landed.

he was injured going in. i'm 100% sure.

I hope he comes back fully fit just to bring bellew's ego back down to earth.

This version of Haye reminds me of the Williams version of Tyson.... Still really dangerous, but his body just can't hold up in the ring.

Agreed, at first I was glad Bellew won but I lost some respect for him after what he said about Brook after the Spence fight. He was luck Haye got injured and still struggled to put him away. A true heavyweight like AJ, Wilder, Wlad even Fury would have bodied Haye in that condition.

Demori is bodybuilder that had a good look that is great for building hype. But, he is slow as molasses and winds up all his punches. Bellew is actually quick on his feet has has quick hands. The Haye that fought Demori would still have a hard time landing cleanly on Bellew. However, if this was Haye from five years ago than he would demolish Bellew, but he isn't so I think Haye might get lose again.

A pre-fight injury obviously hindered Haye's preparation and he was moving slowly during the fight in the fear it would go again. Bellew lucked in and still barely got the job done.

The guy has been falling apart at the seams physically for years. When's the last time he actually was healthy going into a meaningful fight? I mean, he could have lost one leg and half an arm and defeated DeMori so we have no idea if he was really healthy for that.

The game has taken its toll. Trying to be a heavyweight in a cruiserweight's body has taken a toll.

Bellew is utter garbage, just proves how bad of condition Haye was really in going into that fight.

Haye goes into the horse's mouth as Haye and comes out the horse's arse as fecal matter..................

However, I am not giving up on Haye yet, perhaps he did have an injury, plus he has been inactive for a long time, he did easily knock Chisora out early, so let's wait and see...............

I think that Haye Bellew 2 is the best option for both men. Haye wants revenge and I can't see Bellew gettting a better pay day from any other opponent.

I have to agree, that is the biggest fight for both fighters......................it is the logical fight.................Haye by knockout......................Haye will be ready this time.................

Of course Haye looked good in there with DeMori who was Boxrec #150 or something. On the level of a drunken bar brawler. Haye looked "fast" against a guy who is slow as molasses.

Bellew is on the level of a domestic contender (at HW) and Haye suddenly looked very average. His shots looked inaccurate and telegraphed. Haye couldn't put together any combinations even early on. Bellew was consistently landing jabs with ease, Haye's supposed "great reflexes" are completely gone.

i think he went in with an injury, and was hoping it would hold out.He had no spring in his back leg and it was pointed at an angle where its less stressful for the achiles. That was from round 1. If it hadn't totally gone he'd have done Bellew on points, imo. David Haye even past it, if he heals as much as they say it does after his specific injury and op to put it right, should still be able to knock Bellew out in the return. He lacked confidence with his injury
