some fair points made. Its just a bit sad now though. he went in against wlad did better than most but nowhere near what he said he was going to do. i can see him fighting vitali thought its all just modern day hype.
The audacity of Haye . This a guy who quite clearly didn't want to face Vitali before facing Wladimir because he knew he had a better chance of beating Wladimir. He didn't want to jeopardize a potential fight with both had he of fought Vitali first and lost before getting a crack at Wlad. He was also more inclined to let Vitali get a little older in the process to aid his chances of winning. Now he's talking about how an aging Vitali being protected? What protected from opportunists like you? Good for him. Fighters like you(Haye)dont deserve anymore free paydays that you haven't earned the hard way.
Haye is borderline irrelevant now and this "storyline" has dragged on for years and is boring as hell.
Why not? More inclined to believe Haye and Booth over that dishonest lot from K2. Haye clearly wants to fight Vitali. Boente clearly doesn't want Vitali to fight him. Vitali made noises about wanting to fight Haye even after he's lost to Wlad, but has since went quiet. I for one am certain that Haye would beat Vitali now, he's a shadow of his former self, just don't see how Vitali is going to lay a glove on him, and he took better shots from Wlad who is in his physical peak.
A fight between Vitali and Haye makes a lot of sense at this point. The Klitschko brothers have nearly cleaned out the division. Wladimir is already fighting his own retreads in Thompson. Is there so much as one real boxing fan out there that cheered when they heard Wladimir/Thompson II was announced? I doubt it. At least Haye has a chance to beat Vitali with his speed and that would make a rematch with Wladimir very interesting. Haye has to make it through Chisora first. Let's see what happens and go from there.
