I am now very curious to see just what level of heavyweight opponent(s) Haye chooses for his next couple of fights.

He's got balls because he knows Wlad is not the type that would fight in the streets. Im not sure he'd do the same thing to Vitali. Or say someone like Toney or Rahman.
He's just trying to get some hype. What an annoying guy though.

Haye needs to earn his shot at Klitshcko.

Holyfield had accomplished much more than Haye at cruiserweight.

The level of opponents that he fought at CW compared to his experience offers a clue.

Can anyone say "Goldfinger"..."Ahh, Mr Bond".

Haye was acting like an angry kid - reminded me of Shannon Briggs.

Haye may should fight Briggs for "best abuser to Wlad in the game"... :D

Holyfield also fought for about a year or two at HW before he got his shot at the title.

lol. i'll say this much. haye is a pesistent. he clearly sees the $$$ in this fight. this fight would be a huge payday for him and set him up for life. criticize the hws all u want, but that's where the big bucks are.

i find it funny haye is challenging wlad right now after his july 12 fight with thompson has been finalized. additionally, haye said he wont fight til late in the year. what does he want wlad to do....not fight til then, get stripped of both belts, back out on his hbo contract :nut

haye wants this fight for the bucks becuase he's if he fights another hw and gets starched, then he will have no chance at landing a wlad fight. his stock is the highest is high and he's trying to cash in before losing momentum

wlad as always is a class act. haye needs to get in line and earn his shot just like Evander did. beat another title holder late in 08, then he can land a wlad fight in early 2009 which would be a monster fight. this fight makes no sense and is not viable this year.

DELUSIONAL David Haye and his British fanboys are an amusing bunch though. lots of funny stuff :yep

u know...i wouldnt mind his trashtalk all that much if he clearly established himself as the #2 guy but he has proven nothing at hw. I think the Goat Herder would stop him.

Haye has some balls I will give him that. Classless the way he called out Wlad:-( but he is really pushing the fight, and it will only be better for boxing if these two get in the ring. :good

I agree though that Haye needs 1 or 2 fights at heavyweight to show what he can do first.

Haye is smaller than Wlad of course but you could not even imagine that the man fought at Crusier his last fight he looks like he did not give up that much size. I would say he is 6'4" since he only looks about 3 inches shorter than Klitschko.

I like Haye and think he'll be good for the heavyweight division - and think he may win a title....but it still really remains to be seen. Hes a cruiserweight champ thats just won 2 of his biggest fights of his career and is on a high. But he should have more respect for Wlad, and not bad mouth him or challenge him like in the way he did. That turns me against him a little as I hate bigmouths and always like to see them get their mouths shut!!

As a heavyweight at the moment he is nothing - untill he's beaten a few name fighters thats the only fair place for him - unranked in the world heavyweights. Let him KO a few names in the division then he can really start talking the talk. Untill then he should quietly go about his business and show some class and respect. What a fool he may look if he steps up into this weak heavyweight division and get starched early. Of course he dont believe that for a second, and neither do I...but still the fact is he is an unknown quantity at this weight. That 1 fight he's had at heavyweight was against a fat bum. Means nothing. So he should work his way through the ranks like everyone else. And as someone already said - lets see what level he picks for his first couple of fights. If he really thinks hes a world beater then he dont want to waste time fighting the bums of the division. Go straight in and fight named fighters that maybe on their way out like Rahman.
