the brits shouldn't just dismiss this guy. the dude is very talented. he would be Haye's best opponent to date imo.

it wouldn't surprise me if chambers won at all. he is very skilled. he throws quick and very sharp punches. he has a very good jab and stright right hand. he goes to the body. he's pretty good at slipping punches. solid chin. he can get very lazy and stationary at times though. his conditioning is holding him back from being a top 5 guy.

He was good against brock and outstanding in the first 5 rounds against povetkin. after that he gassed and Povetkin just swamped him with punches. Unlike Sasha, Haye is far more delibrate which will be in Chambers' adantage. Haye is gonna get caught a whole bunch if he puts his left hand low and keeps leaning forward. Very competitive and good fight imo.

Why won't he pick someone who can actually punch?

If Haye takes this fight he deserves huge props. Not a smart fight to take if he wants to look good. Barrett is a much better option for hype purposes. If his chin doesn't improve at HW, I would take Chambers to stop him. It's a bad matchup for him.. Chambers has a solid chin and stays relaxed under pressure. He has underrated power, great handspeed, and could surprise Haye with some huge counters.

Won't happen, Chambers has no stamina and can't crack an egg. Still a decent fight considering the alternatives.

dude isnt a puncher but he throws very sharp and fast right hands which can do a lot of cumulative damage. He blinded calvin brock and turned povetkin into a raccoon after 5 rounds. he's dangerous especially if he can keep throwing for 10 or 12 rounds which he will be able to do at the pace Haye tends to fight at.

And if you look at his record, a lot of his decision victories are over guys with solid chins. Plus, after he hurts a fighter he doesn't really go in for the kill the way a good finisher does because he's comfortable with winning decisions. He's just an all around lazy fighter. Haye's chin is weak and Chambers definitely has enough power to crack it.

Glad it's chambers or barrett. tho i think chambers is the better all around boxer, i'd prefer barret because he has real power and he will mix it up. chambers seemed to let povetkin beat him by only countering and not throwing enough. barret won't lose for lack of throwing heavy punches.

If he loses to Chambers it wouldn't be too bad..I think a lot of people hate on Chambers because of his pudgy stature and lack of real power. He's solid defensively,a great counterpuncher and slick enough to make Haye look stupid if he gets too cocksure with his power punches.

Losing to Monte Barrett may be cause for an early retirement.

Chambers via decision. Haye lacks toughness. Against a guy like Chambers, you will get frustrated. You need to be tough enough to work throught that. Povetkin showed he didn't lack toughness in his fight with Chambers. Chambers frustrated him early, but he worked through it. Haye would get countered early and often against Chambers. He would also find it much harder to hit him than he did against the punching bags he faced at Cruiser.

This is a good HW debut for Haye, but I certainly was not impressed by Eddie's performance against Povetkin.

Surely to GOD Chambers will see fit to try and put some meat on his shots by preparing for this fight with some strength training, not to mention losing the spare tire around his waist and work on his cardio.

Seeing as how this is a big chance for Chambers, you'd think he would really knuckle down and come into this fight with decent power and NO spare tire.........I hope so but somehow, doubt it.

Chambers is the kind of fighter who don't seem to give a flying f**k about power. He's a Chris Byrd type arm puncher who puts little to no upper body twisting into his shots, and relies on speed and racking up points, alone.......or, so it seems, what I"ve seen of him.

If he were to, somehow, increase his power, and improve his stamina (losing the spare tire would not hurt) , to go along with his impressive speed, and great boxing skill, who knows what could happen against Haye.

But if Chambers is only throwing them pitter pat punches, Haye will probably eat him alive. Haye will be ferocious, and will have zero respect for Chambers, and will go right at him, winging wide KO shots with both hands.

This is a pretty vital fight for both sides. A win against Haye would put Chambers back into the HW picture almost immediately...and considering that he's got a pretty decent resume for a young(ish) fighter, would set him up nice for a title shot of some kind.

A definitive win for David Haye would really send the message that he's arrived at heavy and pave the way for some big money encounters in the future. If he knocks out Chambers, it'd be big news for the HW division.

Color me excited about the potential of this fight.

Anyone who says that this wouldn't be a good fight has never seen Chambers fight. I'd actually pick him to win being that he is the better fighter imo. He's not a one punch ko artist, but he pust punches together and is very skilled offensivley and defensivley. He's a small in the terms of todays Goliath heavyweights, but he has decent pop. He actually should have one his fight for the title, but he just seemed dumb to his corners instructions...trust me, Hayes not gonna fight him. His camp don't want any competition his first fight.

Fat Eddie Chambers will be destroyed by the power of the Hayetrix.

Chambers gave up against Povetkin, and he'll crumble under the speed and power of Haye.
