You've got to be joking haven't you. I'm shocked to hear that Ruiz was his mandatory. Like I said, he hadn't beat a ranked heavyweight in about 6 years, if he was a mandatory then the state of the game is in an even worse state than I thought it was.
Valuev was coming off a controversial win over the 46 year old shell that used to be Evander Holyfield like I said.
I'm not one for knocking any fighter, I've grown up around the fight game and have respect for any man that gets in the ring but i can't see how anybody could be impressed by Haye's heavyweight record. I'm not saying he isn't a top flight heavy, he just hasn't proved it for me against the opposition he's been in win.
