its not there is mass confusion in the chisora camp over the bout distance, check the british board thread explains it all.
Well, it's like this: UNLESS there is a title on the line, the fight CAN be 10 rounds. If there is a "title" on the line (including **** like "WBC silver title," "WBO asia pacific title," etc.) it MUST be 12 rounds (im sure there are some circumstances here - recently guillermo jones filed a petition to the WBA to have his proposed fight with Denis Lebedev be made a 10-rounder, and he was denied. I just think that fights of this magnitude should be 12 rounds. . . Usually one fighter will negotiate for 10 rounds. . . I'm sure Haye did that. Plenty of examples of big time fights with no title on the line, that ws 12 rounds: May/mosley, may/marquez, pavlik/hopkins, martinez/williams I. . .
There is no proof that Haye made this 12 rounds, true he likely did, but no need for abuse for it intill proven, there is enough legit abuse to give him.
British thread explains nothing... other than you claiming to know Chisoras, Uncle's, Aunties, seconds cousins, boyfriends, hamsters breeder. Who claims it's 12 rounds when Chisoras promoter who has organised the whole fight has said it's 10. who to believe? you or the man that set the fight up???
I'm glad I didn't by tickets for this. Feel kinda' sorry for those that did. First the undercard that they billed fails to materialise, and now they've reduced the main event by two rounds .
Might want to wait until early Saturday morning. Who in the hell knows what will happen with this circus as the next two days unfold.
I'm sure there's more than that. . . It's jsut so rare not to see a fight of this magnitude not have at least some sort of belt (or BS trinket) on the line. . . Or be some sort of "eliminator," which I'm pretty sure also is mandatory 12 rounds.
