Yeah, obviously I´m not comparing Tyson with Wlad as far as excitement goes.....
But IF Thompson wins it...... man, you would lost a historical Boxing moment..... people would talk about it forever and you would say
"Well, I didn´t watch it live ! :conf"......

    No.
But no one in the World envisioned Douglas beating Tyson.......I don´t miss Wlad´s fights because I know sometime he will lose a fight.....probably against someone that nobody expects......

    Here's the thing though Vic...

Even in fights where Tyson didn't KO jis opponent, they were super exciting fights. You absolutely had no idea of what would happen.

    Wlad-Thompson?

I understand.....my Dad isn´t exactly a big boxing fan (he is of other combat sports though) and says that he was always there watching Tyson.....

But, when Wlad lose a fight, this fight will be marked forever even with Wlad being a boring fighter to many people, it will be marked......
That´s what I´m saying..... the historical value of the HW Championship of the World.....

And yeah, Thompson is crap, I watched his last fight with Mo Harris and I think he will lose again by KO.......but who knows......perhaps we are wrong this time

I know exactly what you mean, but Tyson became a disaster waiting to happen (lifestyle etc.)

I don't see the 'unexpected' happening. I will still be watching Wlad-Thompson - Because I like heavyweight boxing. I know it's gonna be a **** fight, but I also watched Mormeck, Chambers, Haye.. all of which hoping to see some excitement.

Rather, we'll no doubt see Thompson lose in Round 10, or on points, and then Wlad celebrating as though he's done the impossible or something :S

I just find that really annoying. But I know what you mean, if the shock of the century is going to happen.. You DO want to be watching live!

(Also I have added incentive, my missus is Ukrainian, and a HUGE K2 fan!)

Wlad labelled this fight as a freak show on the same day he held a press conference to announce he was fighting Tony Thompson again?

I said I'd rather watch two clowns ,two Klitschko leftovers fight ,than Wlad beat Thompson again, but in US more people will watch Wlad vs Thompson ,than Haye vs Chisora because of a few reasons and Thompson being american is one of them ,the other reason is that in US more people know Klitschko, than Haye and Chisora combined ,but overall very few americans will be watching it.

I doubt that only a 'few' Americans will be watching this.

We'll be able to tell based on whether or not one of the major networks picks this or the Klitschko fight up.

And if they pick up both, we'll just have to see which is live, and which is on tape-delay.

Agreed, in 25 years time, people will remember the controversiel fights like this between haye and chisora. Wlad will however be forgotten thanks to his boring jab-grab style...

You can't speak for all or the majority of Americans.

A lot of people I know, who don't even know **** about boxing, saw the Haye-Chisora fiasco. Most of them were like "Damn even the black people over there talk like that?"

The fact that the brawl made it on ESPN lets me know there will be a larger than usual viewership here.

I'm looking foward to Haye-Chisora much more than I am/was to Wlad-Thompson and Mormeck.

It's disappointing but one year after Wlad beat Haye its Haye who is in the more exciting fight. Wlad will have faced an obscenely outgunned Mormeck and a pointless rematch in Thompson. Haye is fighting a live guy in a fight that is interesting with a story behind it.

I'm still a big Wlad fan and credit him for being a dominant champ and one of the 20 best heavies in history but when he's fighting pointless and boring opposition he shouldn't criticize a fight that should be exciting and has people interested.
