What does that comment have to do with this comment...? "no they're too busy hyping up the likes of Devon Alexander while he gets his ass whipped by unknown "regional" Ukranian and Argentinian fighters" P.S. Alexander isn't well known in the US
it means we all know helenius didnt beat chisora the same way alexander didnt beat mattyse or kotelnik
I think beating a Klitschko would give them notoriety here...but both are incapable. so you're right.
It's called HYPE. What do you think helped keep Tyson the top draw in the game YEARS after his skills had declined? This is good for boxing, make no mistake about it. Helps keep it in the public eye. ANY publicity is better than NO publicity! Fact.
well then isnt it an achievement that two "regional" fighters from the other side of the world made the local boston news? its more than any american fighters are doing. wtf is it with this nationality ****, we are all boxing fans, boxing on the news is a good thing, even if its one loudmouth beating down another at a press conference
I blame sports illustrated. And espn. I cant believe people care more about college sports than boxing in this country.
unless they tune into haye vs ruiz, haye vs wlad, haye vs harrison, haye vs valuev....then they may burn their tvs first before watching another of hayes fights
i don't think it's a big achievement for them to be known for getting in a stupid brawl. I don't look at that as an achievement whatsoever.
Did you not just bring up Ward? That was years ago. Boxing use to be huge in Boston but is no longer releveant. It's even less relevant in America overall.
