Are you talking about the David Haye who put Ruiz on his pants in round 1 and made Valuev do an involuntary silly dance?
Got to disagree. You're right in the fact that del MUST get inside to do Haye any damage. However, with Haye's footwork and straight sharp shots, he will keep del at bay whilst stopping him in his tracks. I do expect del to get inside on occasions, but I also expect Haye to tie him in knots when this happens. I'm not trying to suggest that Haye is a massive puncher, but I expect the fight to start at frantic pace with del swinging bombs, but surely he will be eating that much leather on the way in he will tire. I hope this fight goes to the later rounds and into the trenches but I can't see it happening, whilst I'd be surprised if del lasted 6 rounds. Only my opinion but I think people are getting carried away on all the del boy hype and forgetting that he hasn't actually acheived anything!!! :good
People thinking Dela Boy can just walk through Hayes punches are in for a shock. Hes got that explosive power that Vitali hasn't got. He will walk Chisora on to some huge bombs
Allot allot of Chisora's supporters are making the possible mistake of underestimating the power of a Hayemaker. At Heavyweight its still a unknown quantity, because David Haye is a small heavyweight in today's generation. He does get allot of discrimination, these days when anybody attempts to speak of him as a power puncher. Lets go back 20 years, the most destructive punchers in the game, where guys like Mike Tyson, Bert Cooper, Michael Dokes. These where guys who where pretty much the same size as David Haye in dimensions, and fair enough we had guys like Lennox Lewis & Razor Ruddock who might of had more raw one punch power with their favourite punch. But overall guys like Lennox Lewis and Razor Ruddock where not the most devastating punchers. Because its not just about raw power, its about timing, technique, body position and how to transfer the power generated in you're legs, from you're back muscles, projected right down to the tip of you're gloves!!! Its about body mechanics/biomechanics. We saw Mike Tyson, sparking out Francis Botha, and so did Lennox Lewis.......but the differnce between the two knock outs was..??? That that punch Mike Tyson threw traveled, no more than afew inches......... We have seen David Haye rock Valuev at 23 stone 7"2 giant, we have seen him destroy the last of what was left of solid quality Heavyweights in John Ruiz and Monte Barrett. Don Charles keeps banging on about, that as a trainer you should not be ignorant of you're opponents strengths. I think from the start, the Chisora's camp have been underestimating David Haye's power, and destructive punching. Throughout David Haye's whole career, any fighter that has given David Haye a chance to hit them on a consistent basis. He has hurt all these fighters, very very very badly. Even go back to the Carl Thompson fight, Carl Thompson was nearly killed in the process of getting to David Haye. Monte Barret, Johns Ruiz.....all of these guys underestimated David Haye's destructive punching ability. Monte Barrett can box, he has tremendous skills. But up against David Haye he just decided to go ape ****, and he was decked 3-4 times in the process. Wladimir Kiltschko has been the only smart and clever opponent up against David Haye. You don't play to you're opponents strengths, and Wladimir Kiltschko did not play to David Haye's strengths. On saturday... I don't think Derek Chisora has any option but to play to David Haye's strengths. Chisora is going to come forward all night, bobbing and weaving and throwing hooks like a man on fire. He will have some success, but David Haye with the extra speed, movement, punching variation! Will just be having too much success... And no man, no fighter is designed to take that kind of **** in life. And the fight will be stopped by Don Charles. "But it will be a good fight, and even the loser in Chisora will gain credit"
yeah he had that face of i have a hard on all day today at the weigh in, maybe thats why he wore them tight ass jeans and never took em off
I think Chisora and camp know he punches hard, but they are counting on chisoras iron chin, which he does have, look at his build hes stocky at the shoulders and neck hes practically built to take punches. Chisora will have to avoid taking to many right hands from Haye I agree but so long as he does that Haye has nothing to stop him.
Both look fit, well and full of confidence. For me the fight is decided the second Haye lands something half decent... if Chisora can take it I believe Haye will go into reverse and pot shot and we will get the boring posing Haye and then it can go either way and actually i might even slightly favour Chisora because Dereck will try to pressure and Haye can gas... If Haye lands and hurts Chisora, wobbles him or Chisora shows any sign of distress then Haye will swarm him and force a stoppage.
