If you think David talks **** to boost his confidence you're misstaken. He's doing to to generate intrest in the fight, he's a salesman.
Do they think his corner should have thrown in the towel? Haye even after being knocked through the ropes seemed keen to continue and would have beaten the count. You could tell Haye did not want to get stopped, so credit to him for carrying on, it was quite thrilling to watch wasn't it.
But at some point you gotta cool down the smack talk if you know you're going into a fight with a sore achilles that could go any moment lol.
I concur OP... And I'm a big critic of Haye and his antics. Actually though he was winning the 11th rd prior to the stoppage
Why? He's a prizefighter he is talking to generate as much money as he possibly can. Ok lets pretend he doesn't talk as much smack as possible and less people get intrested in the fight. Now he's lost the fight and got less money for it. And I doubt that David really cares what everyone thinks of him.
This. As a boxer myself and someone who had an achilles tendonitis problem I admire him for being willing to continue the fight. You basically can't use any proper footwork at all with that sort of injury. People who never experienced nasty injuries like to **** on fighters just because they dislike them personally but I'll never talk bad about someone who is willing to fight with a real injury. I don't care about pre-fight stuff that much, at the end of the day it's the display in the ring that matters.
You would have liked to see him carry on even after being knocked through the ropes wouldn't you? LOL Haye seemed keen to continue and would have beaten the count. Can we blame the corner for throwing in the towel? That knockdown surely would have tilted if the scoring in favor of Bellew.
No Haye just speaks how he feels, he's probably the biggest UK ticket seller and makes obscene money fighting domestic fights like Harrison and Chisora. He wasn't himself all camp , he always talks but never really loses it, I find the new evil Daid Haye very entertaining. Loved the post fighting interview where nobody mentioned the elephant in the room LOL Haye was a cripple, least Penfolds heart wasn't broken.
