A lot of heavyweights never get the chance to fight for the HW title , its when u have the title that the money can be made!
I wonder how much Lennox got for fighting McCall 2nd time around but he took the fight to prove himself. It does not show a lot of confidence from Haye, all this pullin out of fights etc

This is the same ****ing question I'm asking. It means one of two things, the Klits must have some doubt in there minds if they feel the need to put all these rematch clauses on Haye or that he's such a big draw, that both Klits want a piece of the pie.

Wrong. Haye earned at LEAST double that amount for the Enzo fight.

Do you have any facts on this? Cruisers seems to have a really hard time getting good purses.

Sorry mate, those are the exact numbers of the organizers of the fight. They expected more and were prepared for an onslaught of disappointed people, it just didn't happen. Five people did get their ticktes refunded, not one person more. It was in the media in Germany on numerous occasions.

Info in a biased British paper that's trying to save his "reputation". Another one of these bull**** articles that's come up in the British papers has the title: How Haye has grown into a stellar talent.

    Nice try.

It was in the German Media, so it must be true! Even if it was somehow the exact number (which I doubt) the amount of people who cancelled tickets is not a direct representation of the number of people who bought tickets because Haye was part of the fight. People from the UK had booked time off work, booked hotels, booked flights etc...it's not so easy to undo all of that in such a short space of time - and lets be honest, anyone who is willing to go to all that effort to see boxing is probably a boxing fan and would quite likely rather see another less interesting fight than go through the hassle of trying to get their money back for all the things they had to arrange. Not to mention the fact that with Haye's help this had been hyped up to be one of the most interesting HW clashes since Lewis was around, a big event had clearly been organised around this, so many people would rather go just for the spectacle than lose money through cancellations.

It is no coincidence that this would have been both Wlad's and Haye's biggest fight by far, they were both responsible for shifting tickets, and anyone who thinks otherwise is either a fanboy or a hater.

I've not seen Haye ***** about the money. he doesn't seem to care about it that much. his issue was more to do with getting tied into a 4 fight deal that would completely own him for the next 2 or 3 years.

That is Haye's fault. He was supposed to secure the stadium etc. Everything I have read from people in Boxing have said it is well known Booth and Haye are in over their heads when it comes to negotiations for fights. They are clueless.
