no matter what you say this morning - you have to hand it to haye for lasting 12 rounds with this monster - i had klistcho knocking haye out so full respect i think with this result - would really like to see a rematch though as i think haye could win if it was to happen
I thought Haye did all he could too. Wlad with his size advantage and style fought a perfect fight to win.
wlad was really bad i felt - haye could have done better - i personally feel haye was not as fit as he could have been give him freddie roach then we have a new champ
Well is a bit of an overstatement. Defensively he did pretty good, he held a few decent shots which was a nice surprise. But offensively he was non-existent and I think thats where it mostly went wrong for us Haye pickers. Stylistically it didn't play out badly for him, his feinting, his head movement, and his power even when it landed on gloves all had Klitschko tentative with the jab. He just couldn't get anything going himself due to Wlad's ring generalship and size. It was disapointing he didn't launch more attacks considering Wlad is not a noted counterpuncher and tends to back up when under attack, yet Haye was very cautious of being countered for some reason and always waited for certain spots.
Tbh for all the talk no he didn't do well. Personally i never felt his chin was that bad that he'd drop to canvas like bag of potato's. I felt he could take a few shots clean and he did. The fact he talked the talk and has this ''gameplan'' and the gameplan turns out to be a recycled version of Valuev/DeGale fights is thoroughly disappointing. I was actually saddneed when Sky did the end piece and you saw the 3 years of trashtalk and statements and scenes go through within the blink of an eye and you think to yourself ''after all of that and getting our hopes up, you decide to box on back foot and celebrate making the full 12'' For me Haye is no better last night then them ''american bums'' as he calls them. I don't care about his toe i'm sorry Carl Froch fought Jean Pascal with cracked rib and perforated ear drum all before the bout. All i keep hearing from Haye and Booth was ''didn't wanna be reckless''. Well how else would you of won? if you don't take risks you don't reap the rewards against a bigger man. Of course at times your gonna get caught but he didn't change up his plan when he should of. Booth IMO should of been much more animated when it mattered. I think Haye and Booth didn't believe in his chin. It's like they was shocked he stood up to shots. People keep saying Wlad took it to him and took play away from him, erm didn't Haye want Wlad to come forward and fight? I really dunno what Haye's plan was. He rarely countered or lead off. It was like he was fighting to a punch limit. For me if Haye got sparked late and went out on shield i would of gave him major props. You live by sword you die by it. He didn't do that and it's sad cos i like David but he let himself down but dunno if he's that hurt by it all.
Must admit thought Wlad says ''Haye's a bad loser and it's rich and making excuses'' Wladimir...Wladimir...Wladimir you the same man that claimed you was drugged? when you run out of gas cos someone stood up to your power and you didn't put the effort in...in training? hypercritical ****.
haye spent at least 2 mins of the fight on the floor the only thing he did well was tumbling to the floor he will make a cracking pisshead in a movie
Haye said he couldn't let his rights off because of his toe. Personally, I think that makes sense. When he finally bit down on his tooth and bared it in the last round Haye seemed close to having Wlad out of there... but it should have came much sooner! I think he'll come again.
I was a bit pissed watching this but Haye did do better than I expected going the full 12. How bad did he buzz Wlad in the 12th I didn't realise that he hurt him, but like I said I was a bit pissed?
He definitely landed a solid blow in the 12th that got Wlad's attention but no, he wasn't anywhere near to seriously hurting or stopping Wlad. I think he lost that round as well. He lost at least 10 rounds of the 12 quite clearly. He was outclassed. He's simply never been in Klitschko's class.
