There still IBF champ Steve Cunningham out there. That fight could have been made and Haye would have been true undisputed champion. Cunningham would now say that Haye is avoiding him.

As all boxing fans and haye know it would have been a waste of time.

Oneil Bell had the WBA, WBA, and IBF belts

Then Mormeck beat him in the rematch

    Then Haye beat Mormeck

and then Haye beat the WBO champ

Noone thinks Calzaghe needs to beat Bute in order to be the champ at SMW the same way noone thinks Haye needs to beat Cunningham

It's not a waste of time, there's still a belt left and it's better than the WBO.

It is when haye is going to heavyweight and is already recognised by everyone including cunnigham and his mum as the best cruisweight fighter.

Yes he isn't quite the undisputed champ but he's having trouble making the weight and was only tempted to stay for one more fight because the Enzo fight was so big.

Haye moving up is good news for the rest of the division.

Why should Haye kill himself to KO another pretender in a couple of rounds?

    Pointless.

Cunningham brings nothing to the table, Haye's power is too much for any current CW. The guy is still young and has a bright future ahead of him at HW, and why delay your own potential greatness.

Cunningham is a better fighter than Enzo and a real challenge for Haye.

As far as I'm concerned, Haye has put himself in the top 5 all-time Cruiserweight list, but he needs to beat Cunningham to unify. Steve is the real deal and no easy early ko for Haye.

That said, it looks like it will never happen. Too bad, because nobody really has any idea how Haye will be at heavy. He has to prove he can take a heavyweight punch first.

Belts mean nothing. He became champion by beating Mormeck. It wouldve been nice if he beat Cunningham, but there is ALWAYS someone left in a division.

Wow....Cunningham being underrated here. I would favor Haye, but Cunningham can fight.
