Haye doesn't deserve a shot, has to earn it, yet a top 20 Mormeck is fighting Wlad?!?

Why do folk keep saying Haye doesn't deserve a shot, has to earn it, when a top 20 Mormeck is fighting Wlad?

In theory I'm all for fighters earning a title shot, however the fact that Mormeck is getting a fight with the Champion in Wlad, not a contender like Vitali, just shows how ludicrous the whole thing is.

'Haye needs to earn it'.... that's not how boxing works sorry, the Klits simply fight who they like clearly.

What's so ludicrous about the number 1 contender in Vit fighting another top five contender in Haye, when the actual HW Champion is fighting a top 20 at best opponent?

Yes, and put in the best performance against Wlad since Peter. Wlad barely laid a meaningful punch on the guy.

Mormeck didn't do much to earn his shot and I'd still prefer to see Haye face Vitali before Wlad-Mormeck. I do think Haye will fight Vitali but I would like to see him beat some sort of contender first. Haye doesn't have a deep resume at heavyweight and if he beat someone, anyone decent it would install some confidence in his chances with Vitali. We can't forget that Haye did earn a shot and didn't really put forth the kind of effort that makes people scream give him another.

You know it's true as well. Wlad was a huge dissapoinment too, barely landing anything of note and not going for it at all himself; despite promising us all he'd knock Haye out cold.:?

Im a big time Wlad fan and i dont like the Mormeck fight

but I do see the dollar signs involved in having it in France not many guys at the weight can bring in money

plus Wlad could get a big KO something to get excited about its a win win in that aspect

but it does little legacy wise

however who else is out there

plus with a mandatory vs chambers or thompson that will make him peanuts a big money grab vs mormeck isnt stupid

Mormeck actually has a better heavyweight resume than Haye. :rofl

His three wins are honestly of about equal or better quality to Haye's four...and he is unblemished where Haye has a loss.

Vitali wants it he should take it...better fight than that mando stiverne

    not many money makers left

hayes stock took a hit and i think the fight cant get as big as the wlad fight did because haye lost and didnt really come close to winning

but the animosity alone could sell it

but id favor vitali big time

as ib said mormecks resume is equal with hayes...haye had his shot and lost mormeck isnt coming off a loss..and that fact that hayes loss is against the champion then it kinda seems redundant to put him in his next match to be outboxed again..i mean he was outboxed and made to look like the rest..and you say haye done the best since same peter one??dont think so whos clutching at straws now??hayes performance is on pars with sultans and thats a fact..

There are only two decent matchups for Wlad: Povetkin and Helenius. Both are owned by the Sauerland mafia. Povetkin has already fannied out of two fights so I wouldn't hold my breath about it happening. Helenius needs a lot of work and is not ready by his own admission. Valuev was kept away from both Klitschkos as welll. Remember, he was offered the June 20th date when Haye bottled it in 2009. Sauerland knows what will happen if they put their fighters in with the Klits.

After that, one body is a as good as another. Wlad just needs to get a little more active.

    This is Klitschko Land.

I remember when Haye was gonna fight Kevin Johnson instead of Monte Barrett for his DEBUT heavyweight fight. All the Klit fans said the fight was a disgrace, Johnson was a total bum, CHEF said something like "I knew Haye was gonna pick a can for this fight but damn he really scoured the tomato field for this bum!"

Then when Vitali fights him, in like his 40th fight, suddenly Johnson is a "good undefeated fighter", "solid contender" etc.

There is no reasoning with these hypocrites. Treat them with distain.
