I've met Haye. He's as annoying and ****tish as you'd expect. I'd love for him to walk straight back into a title shot after three years and get a career-humbling KO dished out to him. He's a terrible advert for British boxing.
Weird situation for haye, lots of boxers suffer from the fact that only the hardcore fans want to see them and the casuals just don't know who they are or care. Exact opposite for haye now. He should be FORCED to fight his way into a mandatory position, unfortunately though money talks and tonnes of casuals will pay to see him go straight into a title fight.
I really think he should drop back down to Cruiserweight. He's a bit too small compared to today's HWs. He simply cannot cope with that size disadvantage with his particular style. If he does want to fight at HW again, then he should probably face Fury; I wanted to see that fight. It wasn't actually a guaranteed win for either guy.
Another ESB darling... Nobody cares about Haye. He should stay on the island and fight Price and/or Fury in the coming year.
I like Haye and look forward to his return. I doubt his form will be what it should though.... I expect his main attributes to be slightly eroded.
I don't think he's saying he deserves a title shot or should just get one after not fighting for years. He probably wouldn't pass up the opportunity though if the money was right.
I'm a big time David Haye fan. I don't like this fight for him. I think Wilder is too dangerous. Haye is a multi-dimensional fighter though. He proved it when he beat Chisora Rocky Marciano style, by staying right with him in the pocket.
If that was true he'd be getting offers to fight. He's not. Why do you think he's not fighting. No one is offering him any reasonable money. He's been banned from UK TV after the Fury fiasco and he's unknown in the US.
